Pusey-Williamson Engaged Wedding Here Sunday Miss Linda Carol Williamson became ihe bride of James Norman Pnsey in a 2:00 p.m. ceremony Sunday at the Raeford Piesbyterian Church. The Rev. IXiuglas Kelly heard the vows before members of the family and a few close friends. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Williamson of Raeford and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Horace Pusey of Avondale. Pennsylvania, and the late Mr. Pusev. Cherly Clark Birthday Dance Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Clark entertained with a dance Saturday night at the Civic Center to honor their daughter Cherly on the occasion of Iter 13th birthday. The refreshment table, decorated in white, held a birthday cake, punch, nuts, mints and chips. The 75 guests danced to music by the "Casuals" of Fayetleville. Chaperones with the Clarks were Mr. and Mrs. Carson Clippard. Mrs. Rill Southern. Mrs. Henry Johnson and Mrs. Mary Clark. Given in marriage by her lather, the bride wore a mint green wool dress and coat ensemble and carried a nosegay of green mums. Mrs. Alan Cohen of Richmond, Va. was matron of honor for her sister. Glenn Perry of Avondale, Penn., served as best man. Following the ceremony the bride's parents entertained with a reception at their home. The bride is a graduate of Hoke High School and High Point College. The bridegroom senior at High Point College. Saturday evening Mrs. Horace Pusey honored the bridal couple and members of the wedding party with a dinner party at the Holiday Inn in Southern Pines. Ruritan Club Meets Monday The Allendale ? Antioch Ruritan Club held its regular meeting Monday night, January 12th with eight members and three visitors present. The visitors were Waverly Barham and Carlos Miller of Red Springs, and W.R. Presson, Zone Governor of the Cape Fear District Ruritans and a member of the Parkton Club. A delicious supper was served by members of the Allendale ? Antioch Home Demonstration Club. There were two new members added to the Allendale ? Antioch Ruritan Club namely: Waverly Barham and Carlos Miller. Mrs. Joseph H. Hoffman o Winston-Salem spent tin weekend with her mother. Mrs N.B. Blue, and her brother N'eill James Blue. Br. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Cabana of Cleveland, (la., formerly of Raeford, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn Ann, to Kirby Iredelle Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stevens of Grantham, N.C. Miss Cabana is a graduate of Hoke High School and of North Georgia Technical and Vocational School in Clarksville, Ga. Mr. Stevens is a graduate of Wayne Community College. He served three years in the U.S. Army and is employed by J.P. Stevens Co. in Goldsboro. A June wedding is planned. Swingers Attend Dance Graduation On Saturday night the "Sandpipers" of Sanford had a third graduation ceremony at tlie N.C. Armory in Sanford. Mrs. John F. Campbell, Club president, welcomed members and their guests. Mrs. Julius F. Jordan, program leader, told about the hymn. "Love Divine", by Cltarles Wesley, after which it was sung, with Mrs. Campbell accompanying. Mrs. Jordan presented the guest artist, Alan Porter, tenor, of Fayetteville. Mr. Porter is a member of the faculty of Methodist College where he teaches voice, conducting, form and analysis, and conducts the college chorus. He is choir director at Hay Street United Methodist Church, and he organized and conducts the Fayetteville Community Chorus. Meets The Fine Arts Department of the Woman's Club met at the home of Mrs. W.T.Gibson. Mrs. Robert Tovvnsend and Mrs. Sarah McNeill were co-hostesses. Mrs. Bills Lester, department chairman, presided. Guests from Fayetteville. Mrs. Mary Arnold, district chairman of Fine Arts, and Mrs. (Catherine Jones, chairman of the music division, presented the program. Information and guidelines were given for the local, district and slate Fine Arts Festival, The local Fine Arts Festival will be held February 6 and 7. Following the program the hostesses served cake and coffee.
