The Vietnam moratorium committee staged their demonstration in Washington on November the 15ih to win sympathy from their fellow Americans. They toll this all ? out demonstration would result in a massive acceptance of their stand across the nation. Did they succeed.' Not according to a recent C BS poll which mdicated 81 peieenl ot those interviewed support President Nixon and lus Vietnam policy. Sure, the demonstraters got the publicity, as usual, but the "silent Majority" ranks weie swelled as a result. Maybe we owe a vote of thanks to those marchers. They have helped destroy themselves. We take far too much for granted. It is well to rcmembet that the rise and tall ot nations usually occur on a 200 year cycle. The United States is nearing the end ot its Inst 200 years. We can only escape the usual ending if we work together to defeat those in our midst who sow the seeds ot dissent, and corrupt the morals of our children. We've got to renew our spirit of Patriotism throughout this great land of ours Don't back away because you don t wan! to get involved.
