A late Spring wedding is planned. Public Affairs Dept. Meeting The Public Affairs Department of the Raeford Woman's Club met at the Hoke Civic Center on Tuesday evening. May 5. Hostesses were Mrs. Carlton Niven, Mrs. Graham Clark, and Mrs. David Russell. The program was presented by members of the Chaminade Music Club- Mrs. Mary Lowe played a piano solo. Miss Maude Poole directed a chorus who sang several selections. Members are urged to attend the open meeting of the Raeford Woman's Club on Thursday evening. Bridal Shower For Miss Rose A bridal shower was given for Miss Billie Elizabeth Rose on Friday night at her home. Hostesses were Mrs. Claire Davis, Mrs. Johnny Williamson and Mrs. Burleigh Thompson. The refreshment table was spread with a beige linen cloth and centered with an arrangement of wygelia. Cake, punch, mints, nuts and potato chips were served to the 35 guests. Miss Rose, June bride - elect, was presented a corsage of white pompons. Anniversary Party For Scarboroughs On Tuesday evening, Apri 28, Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Koonce Jr. and Lacy II of Lumbertor and Mr. gnd Mrs. Larry Newsome, Leisl and Lexi, oi Southern Pines, entertained with a buffet dinner for theii parents, Mr. and Mrs. Color Scarborough, at the Koonc* home. Miss Marks is a senior at Hoke High School Her fiance is a graduate of Hoke High School and attends Fayetteville Technical Institute. He is in the National Guard and is presently stationed at Ft. Spring flowers and white candles were used on the serving table which was spread with a while linen cloth. Bridal cakes, punch, nuts and mints were served. Mrs. Mathcrly poured punch. The bride and her mother received corsages of white flowers and Mrs. Dubroff was presented gifts of china in her pattern from the hostesses. Fifty guests attended. Mrs. T.B. Lester and her daughter. Mrs. Jack Scarborough, entertained for Mrs. JDubroff with a Coke party on'Saturday morning at the Lester home. Guests were served daintv sandwiches, nuts, mints and Cokes from the dining room table which was covered with a white linen cloth and decorated with an arrangement of yellow gladioli, mums and gypsophila. Guests wrote favorite recipes for the honoree. The hostesses presented Mrs. Dubroffwitha recipe file box and linens. Main St. Mrs. Dubroff was presented a corsage of kitchen gadgets when she arrived. Pink and white azaleas were used on the dining room table which was covered with white lace overlaid with pink net. Pink fruit punch, bridal cakes, nuts and mints were served the ten guests. Punch was pourei by the bride's mother, Mrs Paul Livingston.
