Colson Jr. was co ? hostess. The honoree was presented a corsage of white carnations to accent her red, white and blue dress. The table was decorated with a white, pink and green floral arrangement, flanked by white candles encircled with ivy. Bridal cakes, green fruit punch, mints and nuts were served. Gift from the hostesses tc Miss Colson was an clcctric mixer. Recent Bridal Party Honors Miss Sellars Miss Delia Sellars, June 21 bride - elect of William D Gilmore, was honored recently with a morning Coke party Hostesses were Mrs. W.L, Howell Jr. and daughtei Winborne, and Mrs. W.T Gibson and her daughtei Susan. The dining room table at the Howell home was spread with i white cutwork linen cloth and centered with pink roses and white candles. Cokes, open face sandwiches, cheese biscuits and assorted confections were served. Miss Sellars received a corsage of yellow roses and gifts of crystal and silver in her selected patterns. Out of town guests were Miss Linda Morgan of Chapel Hill and Mrs. Irvin McNeill of Fayetteville Bridal Luncheon For Gwyn McNeill Mrs. W.L. Howell Jr. and her daughter, Miss Winborne Howell, were hostesses for a bridal luncheon Saturday honoring Miss Gwen McNeill. They entertained ai the Ramada Inn in Charlotte. The honoree was presented a corsage of white daisies and a ' gift of silver. A yellow and white color note was used with Spring (lowers centering the table. Guests, in addition to Queens College classmates, were Miss McNeill's mothei, Mrs. Sarah Margaret McNeill. Mrs. Hugh Sample of Charlotte, cousin of the bride, and Miss Anne Howell Arnold-Dufek Mr. and Mrs Sam t. Arnold have issued invitations for the marriage of their daughter. Peggy Ann to Thomas R. Dulek which will ta' e place 011 Friday, June 5. at 8 p.m at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Charleston,S.C. Miss Arnold served as D C.t. tor the Raeford Presbyterian Church. The engagement of Miss Judy Yvonne Chavis to John Henrv McNeill III, son of Mr. and Mrs. McNeill, Jr. of Route 1, Red Springs, has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell A. Chavis of Route 4, Red Springs. A September wedding is planned. Miss Chavis is a senior at Hoke High School. Mr. McNeill is a graduate of Hoke High School and is employed by Burlington Industries. Mrs. D.S. Currie Bridge Hostess Mrs. David Scott Currie Jr. was bridge club hostess lasi Wednesday evening at her home on Dundarrach Road Visitors were Mrs. William Niven and Mrs. Fred Holland. Pie and coffee were served when the guests arrived and CoUes and nuts during play. Prizes went to Mrs Harry Harrison for club high, to Mrs. Niven for visitors high and to Mrs. Ransom Baucom for bingo. Lester Piano Recital Saturday Mrs T.B. Lester presented her Spring students' pianu recital on Saturday evening in the United Methodist Church fellowship hall Students taking part on the program were: Linda Currie Debbie Ward, Hollie and Kellie Brown.
