of Raeford and the
bridegroom's parents arc Mr.
and Mrs. Elton Allen of
Raleigh.
In the church, palms formed
a background of green ry for
the three seven-branched
candelabra entwined with
Southern smilaz and holding
pink tapers and two floor
baskets filled with pink and
white gladioli, white mums and
white daisies.
A program of nuptial music
was presented by Mrs. Janicc
Bcnner Tew, orginisl.and Mrs.
Ronald E. Hinson, sister of the
bride, who sang, "Through The
Years" and "O Pcrfect Love."
The bride's attendant, Miss
Rhonda LaRue Tanner, wore a
formal gown of pink chilTon
over taffeta featuring an
empire waistline and bishop
sleeves, with appliques of white
Venetian lace on tlie bodice
and sleeves. The waistline and
slightly gathered skirt were
outlined with white ribbon.
She had a matching pink
illusion veil and carried a
bouquet of white daises with
pink satin streamers.
The bride, given in marriage
by her stepfather, Sidney
Monroe Williford, was attired
in a formal gown of white silk
organ/a with three dimensional
Venetian lace in the empire
design. The bodice featured a
round neckline, outlined with
lace, bishop sleeves with
lace-trimmed culls and
semi-gathered skirt with
vertical appliques of lace down
the front. Smaller lacc motifs
and flowers were appliqued
over the entire skirt which was
outlined with lace trim. Her
chapel length, double layered
mantilla, outlined with lacc,
was worn in madonna drape.
She carried a cascade bouquet
of pink and white sweetheart
roses and gysophila with pink
satin streamers.
Children in tlie wedding
were Rhonda Leigh Hinson,
niece of the bride, who carricd
a natural basket Oiled with
white daises and pink ribbons,
and John Michael Hinson, the
bride's nephew, who was ring
bearer.
The father of the
bridegroom served as best man
and ushers were Leonard Ray
Smith, the bride's brother, and
Ronald E. Hinson,
brother-in-law of the bride.
The mother of the bride
wore an A-linc dress of shell
pink crepe, and pink and white
accessories. Tlie bridegroom's
mother wore an ice blue dress
and coat ensemble and
matching accessories. Both
mothers had corsages of pink

sweetheart roses.
The bride's great-grand
mother, Mrs. li.W. Mixuii ot
Hartsville, S.C.. wore a blue
brocade suit and a corsage ol
pink carnations.
Following the ceremony, the
bride's parents entertained
with a reception in the church

For travel, the bride wore a
beige, long-sleeved, knit dress

matching accessories. After a
trip to the mountains the
couple will be at home in
Kingswood Apartments,
Raleigh.
The bride is a graduate of
Flokc High School and
attended Sandhills Community
College. After high school
graduation in Endicott. N.Y..
the bridegroom attended North
Carolina State Univcisity. He is
employed b> IBM at the
Research Triangle.
