Traffic Is A Problem At Raeford Elementary By J.W. Turlington The traffic in our schoi yard is getting to be somcwha of a problem but moreso it i becoming dangerous for th children who are dismountin from buses and the childre who are getting off privat automobiles. The traffic i confusing to all. Some of th children forget the buses, som forget the cars coming into th parking lot. There have beei several misses both by buse and cart this year. We wish to do all that we an able to prevent a child gettin] injured even the slightes CARD OF THANKS 1 with to thank our friends for the many acts of kindnesi shown during my recent illness, Mrs. Janice Pickler amount on our school yard. Afier tliinking the problem over for some time we would like to try the plan set forth on the accompanying diagram. Basically the plan is to have one way traffic for all school traffic except buses and staff cars on Magnolia Street and 5th Avenue between the hours of 7:45 and 8:15 in the morning and a like pattern in the afternoons between the hours of 2:45 and 3:15. We feel that it would be much safer if all students could b? delivered to school on 5th Avenue and picked up at the lame place instead of cart coming on the school ground. The afternoon diagram if followed would be afer than the way it is at the present time. If you wish to wait, pteate park parallel to the street and yellow line leading in the direction of the gym. After loading proceed north on Magnolia to the corner of 5th Avenue then turn to either left or rinht. by Mr* HaroW ChMon Sunday Sept. 13 was Putc Appreciation Day for pastor throughout the Robeso; Baptist Association.
