carnations and candlcs in silver.
Lime punch, decorated cake
squares, chcese biscuits, date
nut balls, meringues, mils and
mints weie served. Mis. T.N.
McLauchlin, molhei of the
bride - elect, poured punch and
Mrs. J.C. Hatris, 'the
prospective bridegroom's
mother, served cake.
Miss McLauchlin was
presented a corsage of white
carnations.
Guests were friends in the
Antioch Community.
Mrs. W.li. Willis and Mrs.
Harold Gillis weie hostesses loi
a lea Saturday afternoon at
lour at the Gillis home.
Russian tea and confections
were served.
The hostesses' gift to the
honoree were a gold ? edge
crystal bud vase and a corsage

At 7:30 Saturday evening,
Mrs. O.L. Crowder and her
daughter Bunny entertained
with a kitchen shower at their
home.
Gifts for Miss McLauchlin
from the hostesses were a
while carnation corsage and
china in her selected pattern.
After the gifts were opened,
guests were invited into the
dining room for refreshments.
The table was covered with a
lace cloth and centered with
yellow flowers. Mrs. J.C. Harris
served decorated cake squares
and Mrs. T.N. McLauchlin
poured punch. Cheese biscuits
and mints were also served.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter McLean of
Winston ? Salem were weekend
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jay
Woodard.

Gregory-Bunce Wedding
Held November 25
Miss Sylvia Ann Bunce
became the bride of Johnny
Robert Gregory Jr. in a six
o'clock ceremony Wednesday,
November 25, at Mount Gilead
Baptist Church. The Rev.
Clarence Hopkins officiated at
the double ring vows.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Herman
Bunce of Route 8, Fayetteville
and the bridegroom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Gregory of
Fayetteville.
Music was provided by Mrs.
Mae Kendall, organist, and Mrs.
blizabeth Smith, soloist.
The matron of honor, Mrs.
Brenda C. Bunce, wore a light
blue velvet dress with matching
headpiece and carried a single
long ? stem yellow rose tied
with yellow streamers.
The bridesmaids, who wore
dresses in royal blue velvet
similar to the honor
attendant's and carried
identical flowers, were Miss
Jackie Spakcs and Miss June
Gregory.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a formal
Victorian gown of white bridal
satin adorned with pearl
embroidered alencon lace and
fashioned with empire bodice,
stand ? up collar and cavalier
sleeves. Two lace bands were
appliqued vertically on the
center front and followed the
outlines of the skirt which was
shirred at the back waistline
and extended into a court
train. Her medieval lace cap
held a chapel ? length illusion
veil which was outlined with
lace.
Leon B. Gregory served as
best man. Ushers were Charles
Tucker of Hamlet., cousin of
the bride, Allen Gregory,
brother of the bridegroom.

Following ihc ceremony the
family of the bride entertained
with a reception in the church
fellowship hall.
Foi travel the bride wore a
gold dress with matching
accessories, l.'pon their return
from a wedding trip to the
coast the ncwlyweds will be at

Drive. Fayetteville.
The bride is a graduate of
Seventy ? First High School
and Fayetteville Technical
Institute. The bridegroom is a
graduate of Fayetteville Senior

25th Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley I.. Croteau of Fayetterille celebrated their
25th wedding anniversary with a reception at their home. Hosts
were their children. Mr. and Mrs. I.arry rage, Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Croteau and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley I.. Crateau Jr., all of
Fayetteville.
The silver and white color motif was used throughout the home.
The table was covered with a cloth of while lace over pink ami
centered with a silver candelabrum containing an arrangement of
pink carnations, white chrysanthemums and while burning
tapers. The three - tiered anniversary cake was trimmed in roses
with silver leaves and with a traditional wedding top. The cake
ms served bv Mrs. Robert R. Renegar, sishr ol the honorees.
and the punch was poured by Miss l-'ditli Hrisson, niece of the
honorees. Presiding at the register were the children of the
honorees. Mrs. Croteau is the daughter of Mr. ami Mrs. Younger
Stephens of Rockfisli, and Mr. Croteau is the son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Sanuiel Croteau of Keene, New Hampshire.
