Stephens-Fra Pair Married December 5 Miss Diunc Fli/.abeth Fralick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thomas Fralick of Albany, (la., and Lieutenant (junior grade) Hugh Johnson Stephens of Albany, son of Mrs. Horace Stephens of Racford and the late Mr. Stephens, were married Saturday. December 5, at the Naval Air Station Chapel in Albany. Ca. Father Frank Patterson officiated for the double ring ceremony at 2:00 p.m. The bride was attended by Miss Susan Dubeau of Albany as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Richard Odegaard and Miss Rachel Stephens, sister of the bridegroom. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an empire gown fashioned with lace and sequin bodice with high, rounded neckline, elbow ? length sleeves trimmed with Mrs. J. Minor Davis of Rocky Mount spent last weekend with her sister, Mrs. Lloyd Crowley and Iter brother, M.K. Scssonts. luce and sequins, and bell - shape train. Her illusion veil was attached lo a fabric bow decorated with pearls, luce and sequins. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations centered with a white orchid. Charles Worthington of Alexandria, Va. served as best man and ushers were Fred and Ted Fralick, borthers of the bride. The honor guard for the military ceremony were CDR James Morgan, Lt. Jack Kramer, Lt. James Greenwood, Lt. (j.g.) Walt Zucowski, Lt. (j.g.) Malcolm Jacobs and Lt. (j. g.) Thomas Brcm. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Naval Station Officers Club. The newly weds are making their home in Albany. The bride is a graduate of Albany High School and attended Albany Junior College The bridegroom was graduated from Hoke High School and the University of North Carolina in 1967 with a B.S. degree in zoology. After bridge, when members exchanged gifts around the Crhistmas tree, they were served red velvet cake and coffee. Mrs. David Scott Currie won high score. Mrs. Irvin Hubbard was winner of the second high prize and Mis. l.uke McNeill received the bingo award. Bridal Showers Fete Miss Luck Miss Linda Luck. December 20 bride ? elect of David Hendrix. was honored with a bridal shower Thursday night by Mrs. J.F. Douglas and Iter daughter Carolyn, at their home on K. Prospect Ave. Upon her arrival. Miss Luck was presented a Christmas corsage. The hostesses served Christmas cake squaies. red holiday punch, nutty fingers and nuts. Friday night. Miss Luck was honored when Mrs. J.A. Jones. Mrs. Hazel Black. Mrs. Randy Walker and Mrs. W W Walker entertained with a miscellaneous shower at the Sandy Grove Church hut. The honoree was presented a white carnation corsage. The table was spread with a white linen cloth and centered with red flowers. Punch, decorated cakes, buttered pecans and mints were served. Mrs. Luck, mother of the bride ? elect, poured punch and Mrs. Biown Hendrix. the prospective bridegroom's mother, served cake. Va. After dinner, the group enjoyed conversation around the glowing fireplace and exchanging Christmas gifts from beneath the gaily ? decorated tree. Mrs. Raymond Ellis was given a housewarming gift for her new home. Upchurch Piano Recital Held Piano pupils of Mrs. Lewis Upchurch Jr. held a music recital at her home on Tuesday afternoon at 4 00. During the social hour the students heard tapes of the recital. Tuesda> evening of last week. Mrs. A.R. FitSimons enleriained members of her bridge elub at her home on Roberts St. Site served dessert and coffee when her guests arrived. Miss Fllen Currie won the high score pri/e and Mrs. Carlton Nivcn was winner of the floating pri/c. College Drive All members were present for the College Drive Bridge Club's Christmas party Thursdav night at the home of Mrs. David Williford. She served dessert and coffee when guests arrived and snacks and Cokes during the evening. I'ri/es went to Mrs. Kd Church for high score, to Mrs. Atkinson, for second high and bingo. Alter bridge, members exchanged gilts and had a social hour.
