The openg song was rendered by Bhlehem Baptist Church Choir?f Laurinburg, N.C. The Psalm was selected tor resj^sive reading. Two songs wcrehen sung by the Junior Choir f Bethlehem Baptist Church. At 3:35 p.m. thSolid Rock Choir entered the <oir section singing "Jesus Keo \U- Near the Cross." Scriptures then read from 2nd CIuckIc, 7th chapter, by Pastor Mitchell. Prayer by Deacon Peterkin. The Dedicatorial Message was delivered by the Rev. Dr. C.J. Cooper, Pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church Laurinburg, N.C. and Moderator of the St. John Association. Dr. Cooper chose for his theme: "The Battle of Calvary." He stated that there had been many great battles in history, but none of these battles were as great as the "Battle of Cavalry." Dr. Cooper also emphasized that we today have Battles to fight. Some mentioned were the battle of love, the battle of education, the battle* of unfinished business with our sisters and bi others, and with out selves.* It was a very beautiful and worthwhile message, and we feel sure it was enjoyed by all. The ribbon cutting was bv Rev. W.K. Mitchell. Dr. CJ. Cooper and other Church officials. Expressions of thanks were extended to all by Mrs. Sally McNeill, president of the Missionary Dept. of the Silver Grove Church and the Women's Dept. of the St. John Association. Benediction by Rev. W.G. McDuffie, pastor of the Jones Chapel Baptist Church Red Springs, N.C. Our financial goal for this service was 52000.00. We exceeded this goal with receipts totaling S2164.95! Thanks!
