read from 2nd CIuckIc, 7th
chapter, by Pastor Mitchell.
Prayer by Deacon Peterkin.
The Dedicatorial Message
was delivered by the Rev. Dr.
C.J. Cooper, Pastor of Solid
Rock Baptist Church
Laurinburg, N.C. and
Moderator of the St. John
Association. Dr. Cooper chose
for his theme: "The Battle of
Calvary." He stated that there
had been many great battles in
history, but none of these
battles were as great as the
"Battle of Cavalry." Dr.
Cooper also emphasized that
we today have Battles to fight.
Some mentioned were the
battle of love, the battle of
education, the battle* of
unfinished business with our
sisters and bi others, and with
out selves.* It was a very
beautiful and worthwhile
message, and we feel sure it
was enjoyed by all.

Expressions of thanks were

world. It ever the need for alert
wide awake citizen then the
time is now. The speakers from
each department from
Agriculture, Legislative
Services, Attorney General,
Administrative Office of the
Courts, North Carolina State
University and members of the
General Assembly each
department gave their
cooperation and assistance in
the program.
It is our responsibility to
support, suggest and assist our
representatives in making and
carrying out the laws of this
county, state and nation. It all
begins in our family and the
future of this country is
depending on you. As parents
we are responsible for making
this a secure, well balanced
world for our children to live
in. The values are instilled in
children in the home each day.

parents'? Golf, Bowling, T.V. or
Bridge? All are good games but
are they taking first place in

political, and social life. Be a

values you live by today will

results realizing our forefathers

a price and our boys are still
dying for this same freedom.
Wake up citizens check your
values are they deserving of
that young life. Yes. Women
too. your responsibility is great

tomb. We all can be better
