High Khool will come to a close Monday night for 249 senior! ai they receive diplomat from Hoke County High School principal Raz Autry in graduation ceremonies at the stadium. The baccalaureate tervice will be held Sunday night at 8 p.m. in the stadium with the Rev. Milton H. Williams as speaker. The Rev. Mr. Williams is pastor of McLaughlin Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Raeford. A native of Cumberland County, he graduated from Oak Ridge High School in Lumber Bridge. He is a student at Fayetteville State University, majoring in education. He has held pastorates in West End and Jackson Springs A.M.E. Zion churches and has been the pastor of the McLaughlin Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church since 1965. The Rev. Mr. Williams is treasurer of the Laurinburg District of AM.E. Zion churches and public relations coordinator and registrar for the Laurinburg District Christian Education Convention. He is married to the former Gloria Jeanne Glenn of Lumber Bridge and they have two children, Tonya Renee and Milton H., Jr. There will be no commencement speaker this year. This decision was made after a vote by the students in order to speed the graduation exercises. The Hoke High chorus and chorale, under the direction of Mrs. Neil A. McNeill will sing. Photographs of individual graduating seniors receiving diplomas will not be taken at commencement but, instead, were made by appointment Thursday morning at the school. The graduation exercises will begin at 8 p.m. MARSHALS - A dozen juniors, tops in their class academically, will serve as marshals at graduation Monday night.
