Your help is needed to give them a good start. For the past three years interested parents have been giving an hour a week of their time to help with the Reading Program. Again this year this program will need parents' help. It will not begin until the middle of October, but while you are alloling your time for the cpming year won't you give the children an hour of it. It is not always an easy hour, but you will not spend a more rewarding hour, and you will be surprised at not how much you give, but at how much you gain. You will learn a great deal about our children, Hoke County and our schools. Please, if you have an hour that you can help call Mrs. Robert Townsend at 875-3271 or Mrs. Walter Cojey at 875-3428. If you have a preferred day please state that also. A steelmaker's open hearth furnace contains enough brick to build 125 six - room homes.
