appeal if he wanted to. Monroe

Charles Fred McCaskrll of
Raeford was found guilty of
public drunkenness and of
carrying a concealed weapon.
He was sentenced to 60 days in
jail, suspended on the
condition that he pay a $35
fine and court costs.
Rhonda Strickland of
Raeford received two 30 ? day
suspended sentences for
writing two worthless checks
for a total of S10. She was
ordered to pay restitution and
court costs.
Probable cause was found in
a case charging Lee St. Clair
and Glenda Jennifer St. Clair,
of Selma, Ala., with breaking
and entering and larceny. They
were bound over to Superior
Court for action by the Grand
Jury on S1,500 bonds.
Prayer for judgement was
continued in a case charging
Roger Massey of Raeford with
larceny. He was ordered
confined to the Hoke County
jail pendingjudgement on June
9.
Phil Sturdivant of Raeford
received a two year suspended
sentence for assault with a
deadly weapon. He was placed
on probation for a three and a
half year period. He was
ordered not to assault his wife
or consume any alcoholic
beverages for that period.
George Timothy Davis of
Raeford received a six month
sentence for DUI and speeding
85 in a 55 mph zone. The
sentence was suspended for 18
months provided he surrender
his license and not drive for 12
months. He was fined $200

Raymond Eugene Hawkins
of Raeford was found not
guilty of DU1.
David Roger Keaton of
Raeford received a 90 day
suspended sentence for reckless
driving. He was fined $125 and
court costs. He was found not
guilty of DU1.
Larry Washington of Red
Springs was found guilty of
DUI and having an improper
registration plate. He was
sentenced to six months,
suspended for 12 months on
the condition that he not drive
for that period. He was fined
$175 and court costs.
Donald Wayne Holland of
Shannon was found guilty of
careless and reckless dnving.
He was sentenced to 90 days in
jail, suspended upon payment
of a $100 fine and court costs.
He was found not guilty of
DUI.
Charles Leonard Keaton ot
Raeford was found guilty of
DUI. He was sentenced to six
months in jail, commitment to
issue anytime during the next
12 months should he break any
traffic laws. He was ordered
not to drive for that period
except for limited priviliges. He
was fined $150 and court
costs.
Prayer for judgement was
continued upon payment of
court costs in a case charging
Charles Wendell Price of
Clinton with speeding 75 in a
60 mph zone.
Richard O'Henry Holland of
Shannon was found guilty of
DUI. He was sentenced to six
months in jail, commitment to
issue anytime during the next
12 months should he break any
traffic laws during that period
He was ordered not to drive
during that period except for
limited driving privileges and
fined SI50 and court costs.
Prayer for judgement was
continued for Frederick Grier
Hasty of Fayetteville on a
charge of speeding 75 in a 60
mph rune. He was fined 550
and court coats.
Neil Uoyd of Raeford
received a 30 day sentence for
reckless driving. The sentence
was suspended upon payment
of a 525 fine and court costs.
Prayer for judgement was
continued upon payment of
court costs in a case charging
Don Larry Simmons of
Launnburg with speeding 60 in
a 45 mph zcate.
Prayer for judgement was
continued for James tlvy Clark
of Fayetteville upon payment
of court costs in a case
charging him with driving with
an expired license.
Homer Mizzell Holliday of
Raeford was found guilty of
DUI. He was sentenced to six
months in jail, suspended for
three and a half years and he
was placed on probation for
that period. He was ordered to
surrender his license for a three
year period and fined 5500 and
court costs.
John Ralph Danford of
Raeford was found guilty of
willful speed competition. He
was sentenced to 12 months in
jail, suspended for two years
on the condition that he not
violate any traffic laws for that
period. He was fined 5300 and
court costs. He gave notice of
appeal, bond for which was set
at 5300.
John Washington Cain Jr.
was found guilty of
misdemeanor hit and run. He
was sentenced to 12 months in
jail, to begin at expiration ofa
sentence imposed in another
case. He was placed on
probation for a three and a half
year period and ordered to pay
545 restitution to the city of
Raeford, a fine of 5350 and
court costs.
Prayer for judgement was
continued until June 0 for
Roger Massey of Raeford on
charges of improper
registration and having no
license. He was ordered
confined to jail pending
judgement.
Nicky bdward Stines of Ft.
Bragg was ordered to pay court
costs for a case charging him
with improper passing.
Harvey Lee Fairley of
Raeford was found guilty of
improper registration plates
and having no liability
insurance. He was sentenced to
18 months, suspended for
three and a half yean and
placed on probation for (hat
period. He was ordered to
surrender his license for 12
months and pay a 5250 fine
and court costs.
James Sims of Lillington was
found guilty of a second
offense of DUI and driving
while his license was revoked.
He was sentenced to 18
months, suspended fot three
and a hair yean and placed on
probation for that period. He
was ordered not to drive for
two years and fined S450 and
court costs.
Don rue Ray Puryear of
Lillington was found guilty of
misdemeanor hit and run and
reckless driving. He was
sentenced to 12 months and
placed on probation fot two
years. He was ordered to
surrender his license except for
limited privileges for 12
months. He was fined S300
and court costs.
Martin Wesley White of Ft.
Bragg was found guilty of
improper registration and no
financial responsibility. He was
sentenced to 12 months in jail,
suspended and placed on
probation for two years. He
was fined S150 and court
costs.

sentenced to two years in jail,
suspended for three and a half
years and placed on probation
for that period. He was fined
