"The PBS program will show - in a
sensitive way - some of the victims of
genetic defects," says McLeod. "But it
will also show how researchers and

problems."
The 90-minute program will explain
how doctors can screen potential
parents to determine the likelihood of
their passing certain genetic defects on
to their children.

faculty.

Chorus and Chorale Christmas Concert

The Red Springs Red Devils showed
great offensive and defensive efforts
during the first half of the Bucks' Dec.
4, basketball game, but the Hoke Bucks
staged an explosive second half rally to
defeat the Red Devils 57 to 41.
Down 21 to 20 at the half, Bucks'
Coach Jerry Osborne got his second-half
team together and exploded three times
in the half scoring 37 points to the Red
Devils' 20.
Scorers for the Bucks were Rudolph
Maynor, 10; James Rainey, 10; George
Maynor, 9; Alan Thomas, 9; Ronald
Black, 6; James Cartherns, 4; Alphonzo
Haynes, 4; Eddie Roper. 2; Tyrone
Tillman. 2: and Franklin Bease. 1.
Junior Varsity
The Junior Varsity (J.V.) Bucks
slaughtered the J. V. Red Devils 71 to
S2 earlier in the evening. Franklin
Jordan and Nathaniel McNeill scored 24
points combined. The Bucks led at the
half 45 to 18. Coach Howard L. Smith
used his bench effectively dominating

the second half scoring 26 points.
Wednesday's Game
Wednesday's game was a near repeat
of the night before. The Bucks played
Richmond County and won by a score
of 82 to 64.
As before, the score was close, 36 to
3S for the Raiders at the half, then the
Bucks exploded in the second half
scoring 47 points.
The last half drive was led by George
Maynor with 23 points, Roper with 16.
Alan Thomas with 13, Rudolph Maynor
with 7, and Cartherns with 6.
The Bucks will meet the Dunn
Greenwaves Friday at home.
Junior Varsity
The J. V. Bucks and the J. V. Raiders
played three hard quarters of basketball
last week and the Raiders led until the
last 3 minutes and 49 seconds. Then the
Bucks rallied and took the game 47 to
42. Michael Shaw and McNeill scored 13
points apiece in the match.
