CHAMPS - The Hoke High School Baseball team captured the Southeastern Conference triple A Crown by defeating Dunn 13-0 recently. Annual Talent Show Friday The annual 4-H talent show is 7:30 p.m. Friday at Raeford Elementary School auditorium. The admission free event is open to the public. Participants in the contest must have been between nine and nineteen years old on January 1 and be currently enrolled or participating in the 4-H program. Individual categories to be judged include vocal solo, instrumental solo, dancing, humorous reading or recitation and novelty such as puppetry, animal acts, acrobatics, ventriloquism, baton twirling and impersonations. Slate Lung Association annual meeting at McCain Hospital. Following reports of various association activities, awards were presented to school press project winners and to others who rendered special service during the year.
