DONATION - A simple bentwood rocker, perhaps made here in the county, is one of the items that will be auctioned by the Raeford Woman's Club April 12 to benefit the library. The rocker was found in a barn on a Hoke County farm and was reconditioned by Freddie Culbreth, a former resident, who owns an antique store near Chapel Hill. Stonewall Report By Mrs. Harold Chason Easter sunrise service was held at Camp Rockfish by lay pastor Lester Sessoms Jr. Special music was by Tim Sessoms, Mrs. Gordon Ruggles. Misses Glenda and Tlieresa McKenzie and Lowell Schiebie. F.aster service was held at Ephesus Baptist Church Sunday morning. The Youth Group will present a play at Sandy Grove United Methodist Church next Sunday April 6 for the worship service. Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Bostic moved to their new home Saturday. Mrs. Earl Tolar and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jones were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Louise Wright. Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Currie of Portsmouth, Virginia spent the weekend with Mrs. Bertha Hendrix. Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Hendrix were Mrs. Donald Thomas, Donald and Becky Thomas, Mrs. T.H. Brock and daughters Dawn and Shawn and Mr. and Mrs. David Justic, Susan and Richard Justic ol Fayetteville. Harold J. Chason returned home Saturday from Moore Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Whiteford Jones and son ? Rodney of Colonial Heights, Va. spent the weekend with Whiteford's mother and visited his father, J.A. Jones at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Beasley and , children ot Winston-Salem spent the weekend with Mrs. Chester Beasley. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Beasley and children of Fayetteville, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Beasley of Raeford and Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Bostic were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Beasley. Richard Sessoms of Kinston spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs Lester Sessoms Sr. Mrs. W.L. Smith is a patient at New Hanover Hospital in Wilmington. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kornejay. Gary and Lynn Andrews of Goldsboro spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Boyles. Lynn Andrews is spending the week . Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Spears visited in the home of Fred Autry Sunday afternoon. Mr. Autry suffered a fatal heart attack on his way home from Disneyland in Florida. Mrs. Zelda Ayscue and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Shelton and children Regina, Michael, Michelle and Rebecca spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Chason. Lt. Ernest Davis Jr., with the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia is spending the week with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Maxwell and ^ daughters of Barnwell, S.C. and Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Buie of Raleigh spent the weekend with Mrs. O.B. Maxwell Sr. Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Maxwell and family spent Sunday with Mrs. Maxwell. The Nursery, Beginners and Primary Sunday school classes of Ephesus Baptist Church enjoyed an egg hunt and Easter party at the home of Mrs. Richard McMillian Saturday afternoon given by the parents and teachers. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Maxwell, Jimmy, Sally Lynn and Mary Monroe Maxwell were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Grace Mclntyre in Lumherton. Miss Martha Ann Hendrix spent the weekend at Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Harold A. Chason and daughters Wanda and Cathy spent Monday in McColl visiting relatives. Mrs. E.B. Maxwell, Ellen and Robert Maxwell. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Phillips of Fayetteville and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Phillips of Raeford attended the wedding of Miriam Carter and Preston Phillips at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington, North Carolina Friday evening, March 28. ? BIRTHDAY Mrs. Annie Cain celebrated her 99th birthday at Cape Fear Valley Nursing Home March 19 with her family. Seventy members of her family were present. Mrs. Cain has six living children, nineteen grandchildren twenty-six great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren. Five generations were present at her birthday party.
