City Salaries Outlined Jn Budget Proposal With annual pay increases cut from the Raeford city budget for next year, most salaries for city employees remain the same as last year's, according to the revised budget proposal scheduled for a public hearing tonight. Some city workers have been recommended for small increases, or "adjustments", to meet minimum pay standards recommended in a pay plan proposal done for the city by the Institute of Government at Chapel Hill. John Caddy is the highest paid city employee, with a $8,599.89 salary as city manager, and a $8,599.89 salary as water and sewer administrator for a total of $17,199.78. Chief of Police Leonard (Zeke) Wiggins has an annual salary of SI 0,449.92. Chester Beaslcy receives $4,999.93 as water and sewer superintendent, and also $4,999.93 as treatment plant superintendent, for a *$9,999.86 total salary. Street superintendent Dewey F. Inman receives $9,449.96. Zoning administrator William C. , Sellars is paid $8,799.96. Chief Mechanic Billy H. Barefoot receives $7,491.90. The position of municipal garage supervisor, yet unfilled, is budgeted at a S 10,000 yearly salary. Tax collector Betty Smith receives $7,139.86. ?AREA INCIDENTS?
