Tower Flag City hall received an inquiry from an Indiana Firm last week asking information about the American flag painted on the city water towers. "We were through your town and noticed the flag on the water tower. We would like to know the name of the firm who painted it," wrote D. Bailey, Greenfield Safety Products Co. manager. The inquiry was a sad footnote to the Jan. 21 tragedy at the Dickson Street tower when 51 year-old Warren H. Lee fell to his death while finishing the painting. Lee was an owner of Osborne and Lee Institutional Painting, Brooklawn, N.J. DONATION-Kay Thomas, Raeford IVomarft Club president, hands over a check for $600 to R.B. Lewis, treasurer of the Bicentennial Library building fund.
