CITY OF RAEFORD Be ye therefore notified that we the undersigned employees of the City of Raeford submit this statement to you as a formal request that the increase in salaries for the City of Raeford Employees for the budget for the fiscal year 1975-76 be given further and due consideration. Amount of 5% increase for Water/Sewer in total: $2,225.43. 3. Payroll Provisions Book compiled November 1973 4. Federal employees with no experience and no specific responsibilities making comparable salaries to those of top City of Raeford positions. 6. Inflation has hit hard on individuals as well as City of Raeford. 7. Salaries for similar positions in local industries far surpass salaries of the City of Raeford. 8. A cost of living raise to employees would far exceed 5%. 9. Employees have little or no incentive to improve or strive to better themselves and/or their employer. 10. Cost of hiring new employees far exceeds the increase in salary for those who will likely quit due to no raise nor incentive thus creating job openings. 11. A comparison of like municipalities reveals that the majority of City of Raeford salaries are well below minimuins for other cities. 12. Capital Outlay expenditures for this budget have not been curtailed as though there were no money for expenses as: SALARIES. Signed.
