Miss Hart - Mr. Robinson Married Sunday Afternoon Miss Jane Kathryn Hart became the bride of Edward Bruce Robinson in a four o'clock ceremony Sunday 1.^?" 4.' the Raefor<l United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kelly J WUJ?n heard the double ring vows." The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Edward Jenkins Hart and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs Vernon Hubbard. ,. Wedding music was presented by Mrs. Btllte Warren of Salemburg, aunt of the bride, and Alton Lee Warren the bride's cousin. On either side of the steps to the altar were large matching bouquets amilar to those carried by the bridesmaids, centered with pale pink tapers. Two tall white columns held arrangements of mixed summer ? lowers, and matching spiral candelabra with pale pink tapers were used on the altar. Brass urns were filled with eucalyptus and , Southern smflax. Uwen in marriage by her father, the bride wore a colonial - style gown of white silk organza and Venice lace fashioned with fitted bodice outlined W'm 'ace at neckline and organza ruffles forming a bertha collar. Lace, with pink satin ribbon insertion and' bows accented the waistline, and the softly full skirt, extending into a chapel train, was edged with a deep ruffle applied with lace and pink ribbon insertion. She wore a matching organza and lace picture hat with silk illusion veiling in back and carried an old fashioned bouquet of white roses and stephanotis centered with pink sweetheart roses. Matron of honor was Mrs. Benjamin Hughes of Oxford, sister of the bride. She wore a pink silk O""on gown designed with soft V-neckline, capelet collar, fitted bodice and A-line skirt, and earned a colonial nosegay of pink miniature carnations, sweetheart roses and gypsophila with deep red velvet ribbons. Bridesmaids were Miss Jan Hart of Oxford, niece of the bride; Mrs. Carroll Hart of Raeford, sister - in - law of the bride; Miss Ann Pittard Hart of Oxford, the bride's cousin; and Miss Debbie Anderson of Raeford. Junior attendants were Miss Robin Hart and Miss Lydia Hughes of Oxford, nieces of the bride. Their dresses were like the honor attendant's and they carried similar flowers with pink velvet ribbons. The flower girl was Leanne Sease, and Chip Hart of Oxford, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Vernon Hubbard was best man Ushers were EJ. Hart III of Oxford and Carroll Hart and Steve Hart of Raeford, brothers of the bride; Paul Walters III of Winston - Salem, the bride's cousin; and Graham Niven of Raeford, cousin of the bridegroom. The mother of the bride wore a floor - length blue silk chiffon dress with embroidered jacket, and carried a corsage of pink roses. The bridegroom's mother wore a long dress of peach crepe knit with matching lace and had a corsage of white and peach roses. ? Webb High School in Oxford attended High Point College and Pembroke State University, and is r ? Mrs. Edward Bruce Robinson employed at Knit-A-Way Inc. The bridegroom attended Wingate College, Methodist College and Pembroke State University. Reception Following the ceremony, the bride's parents gave a reception in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Wilna Lovette and Mrs. Paul Walters served cake, and Mrs. E.J. Hart 111 and Mrs. J.A. Niven poured punch. Assisting were Kim Smith, David Smith and Scolt Hughes. Sonja Howie presided at the register. Rehearsal Dinner The bridegroom's mother. Mrs. Vernon Hubbard, and Mr. Hubbard entertained with a dinner party Saturday night in the Sandhills Room of the Southern Pines Holiday Inn, honoring the wedding party and out of town guests. Magistrate Charles Baker officiated for the double ring vows. A green archway and white and yellow mums formed a setting for die 6:00p.m. ceremony. Given in marriage by her fadier, the bride wore a long blue floral print dress and fresh flowers in her hair. She carried a bouquet of daisies. Sonya roses and gypsophila. Miss Donna Clifton was maid of honor and only attendant for her sister. Following die ceremony, the bride's parents entertained widi a buffet supper at their home. After a wedding trip to the Soudi Carolina coast, the couple wdl be at home in Raleigh. The bride is a 1975 graduate of Sanderson High School. The bridegroom, a Sanderson High School graduate, is assistant manager of Winn Dixie Store. The Cliftons' are former Raeford residents. Among friend from here who attended the wedding were Mrs. Chalmers Davis and Deborah, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Webb and David, and Miss Linda Harrell. Personals Mrs. R.C. Langis has returned to her home in Middleton, Mass., after a visit here widi her mother, Mrs. W.L. Alexander. While here she and her mother visited relatives in Chapel Hill. Belmont, Wallace, and Marietta, Ga. Mrs. H.T. Hine and granddaughter of Asheville spent last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Bundy. Mr. and Mrs. James D. Tapp and children, David and Susan, of Jacksonville, Fla., are here this week visiting his mother, Mrs. J.D. Tapp Sr. Arnette - Cain Miss Ruth Josephine Cain of Raleigh and Ervin Wade Arnette of Raleigh were married Saturday in Monk Memorial Chapel at Methodist dome. Given in marriage by her uncle, David L. Wall, the bride is the laughter of Mrs. J.W. Cain and the ate Mr. Cain of Raeford. Parents of he bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Woodard of Raleigh. College News Two Raeford students have been accepted for admission as freshmen at Meredith College for the 1975 fall semester. Jane Reid Austin and Suzanne Baker Jordan will begin freshman orientation on August 22 and classes on August 27. Miss Austin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Truman Austin of Raeford. Miss Jordan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Riley Moore Jordan of 110 Fulton Street, Raeford. Both are graduates of Hoke County High School. Meredith, founded in 1899, is a four-year, Baptist-related, liberal arts college for women in Raleigh.
