Mr. Carlton Niven. Social Reporter, 875-3785 Todd-Livingston Wedding Sunday Miss Sabrina DeBright Livingston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Joseph Livingston of Route 2, Raeford, and Robert Sherwood Todd, son of Mrs. Peggy Cosby of Surf City and Robert Todd of Shannon, were married Sunday, at 4:00 p.m., in the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Red Springs. The Rev. Hubert Bland officiated. Lester Southern, pianist and soloist, sang Wedding Song, We've Only Just Begun, and Wedding Prayer. The church was decorated with two heart ? shaped candelabra and tv?o baskets filled with fall flowers in shades of orange, bronze and yellow. Greenery formed a background for the altar arrangement of fall flowers ?nd two branched candelabra. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white organza with chantilly lace at the standup collar, edged the cuffs on the bishop sleeves, and around the detachable train. Her lace - edged mantilla veil was attached to a Camelot cap and she carried a bouquet of yellow rosebuds, centered with a white orchid. Mrs. Henry Pickler of McCain, attended her sister as matron of honor. She wore an apricot rosepoint organza dress made with halter neckline and bolera jacket with ruffled cap sleeves, and matching picture hat. She carried a bouquet of three yellow rosebuds. Bridesmaids were Kim Todd, sister of the bridegroom, and Nancy Anderson and Charlcie Farmer of Red Springs. Their yellow dresses were made like the honor attendant's and they carried single yellow roses. Children in the wedding were Julie Seawell of Raeford and Danny Pickler, nephew of the bride. The bridegroom's father was best man and ushers were Henry Pickler of McCain, brother - in - law of the bride, Butch F.ason, uncle of the bridegroom, and Gene Walton. For travel to the mountains the bride wore a blue and white pantsuit and the orchid from her bridal bouquet. The bride is a graduate of Hoke County High School and has been employed at the Sears Catalogue ' Store in Raeford. The bridegroom, a graduate of Red Springs High School, is employed by Bryant Electric Co. of High Point. The mother of the bride wore a long, coral chiffon dress with matching accessories, and the bridegroom's mother was attired in a long, orange dress and matching accessories. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained with a reception in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Francis Meinert and Mrs. Glenn Barich served cake, and Mrs. Clyde Webb and Mrs. Buich F.ason poured punch. The parents of the bridegroom gave a dinner Saturday night after the wedding rehearsal. Thirty guests present at the Red Springs Cafeteria included the wedding party and out of town guests. Mrs. Robert Sherwood Todd Personals Mr. and Mrs. D.T. Scarborough of Candor spent the weekend with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scarborough and son Tom. Mrs. H.L. Gatlin was hostess to the following members of her bridge club Monday until Thursday last week at Topsail Beach. Mrs. R.A. Matheson, Mrs. Tontmie Updrurch, Mrs. N.A. McDonald, Mrs. Marcus Smith and Mrs. Younger Sncad. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Harris spent die weekend at Holden Beach. Freddie O'Neal has moved inio the house on Magnolia Si. recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Ron Canady. Mrs. Paul Corson and daughter F-lizabeth left Tuesday for their home in Philadelphia, Pa., after a visit here with her mother, Mrs. Duncan G. McFadyen. Mrs. Lawrence Forrester and daughter Meg of High Point, arrived Friday for a visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dixon. Engagement Announced Miss Martha Ann Hendrix Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brown Hendrix of Raeford. announce the engagement of their daughter, Martha Ann. to James Pink McMillan III of Greenville, S.C. son of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. McMillan Jr.. of Red Springs. Miss Hendrix is a 1974 graduate of Hoke County High School. Mr. McMillan, a 1971 graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C.. is employed by Deering ? Milliken in Greenville, S.C. The wedding ceremony is planned for Sunday, December 21, at four o'clock in the afternoon, at lite Sandy Grove United Methodist Church. Formal invitations are not being sent, but relatives and friends of the couple and their families arc cordially invited to attend. Bridal Shower For Miss Lentz Mrs. Charles Daniels, assisted by Mrs. Art Husconica. entertained with a floating bridal shower Monday night at the Buddy Daniels home to honor Miss Kay Lentz. Miss Lentz is to marry Phillip A. McMillian in December. Yellow mums centered die refreshment table which was spread with a handmade lace cloth. Punch, cake, mints and nuts were served. Hostess gifts for the honoree were sets of glasses and a corsage of yellow mums. Among the guests who called between 7:30 and 4):30 was the bride-elect's grandmother. Mrs. Lela Ayes of Sanford. Beach parly Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brown were hosts to members of their bridge club last weekend at their new cottage at Holden Beach. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Lovette. Arts Departmenl Holds Meeting The Arts Department of the Raeford Woman's Club met September 2 at the home of Mrs. Belton Wright on Harris Ave. Mrs. Sarah M. McNeill was co-hostess.
