District Court Judge Dupree Finds No Probable Cause No probable cause was found in felony cases Friday by District Court Judge Joseph Dupree. Two cases involved breaking and entering and larceny, one larceny and another hit and run. Earl Bullard. 319!* S. Main St. Raeford, pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering and larceny and no probable cause was found. Mitchell Jones. Hayetteville, pleaded not guilty to larceny and no probable cause was found. Earl Bullard. S. Main St.. Kaeford, was found not guilty of resisting or obstructing an officer. James Earl Jackson. Red Springs, pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering and larceny and no probable cause was found. Paul Jones, Rt I. Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to hit and run and no probable cause was found. James Robert Riddle. Rt. I, Red Springs, was found guilty of larceny and was sentenced to six months, suspended for five years on condition that he not be convicted of shoplifting for five years. The defendant gave a notice appeal and bond is to continue. Mary Virgil. Rt. I, Raeford. was found not guilty of assault with a deadly weapon. Eugene Emanuel. Rt. 1, St. Pauls, pleaded guilty to DUI. (third offense) and was sentenced to 18 months, suspended for three and one half years, and placed on probation for three and one half years on condition that he not drive until properly licensed to do so and pay S500 and cost of the action. Blood alcohol content was .27, according to records. Marvin Ray Jones, Rt. 2, Raeford. pleaded guilty to DUI, (second offense) and was sentenced to six months, suspended for two years and placed on probation for two years on condition that he not drive' until licensed to do so and pay S250 and costs. Blood alcohol content was .21, according to records Gwendolyn Nettles. Apt. 1. Hotel Raeford, Raeford, pleaded guilty to injury to personal property and was sentenced to six months, suspended for two years, and placed on probation for two years on condition that she pay SI 13.50 restitution and costs. Gwendolyn Nettles, Apt. I. Hotel Raeford, was found not guilty of trespassing. Ricky R. Redd, Raleigh.entered a plead of guilty to escapc and was senteced to six months to run concurrently with his present sentence. David Leo Patterson. McCain, pleaded guilty to non-support and was sentenced to six months. Ramzey Carter, Maxton. pleaded guilty to shoplifting, and was sentenced to not less than one day not more than six months, suspended for five years, on condition that he not be convicted of shoplifting or larceny for five years, and pay S25 and costs. James Aldean Hyler, Rt. I. Reidsville, was found guilty of DUI, (third offense) and driving while license was permanently revoked and was sentenced to two years. Notice of appeal was given and bond was set at $ 1,000. Joseph Arthur Powell, Red Springs, pleaded guilty to speeding 80 in a 55 mph zone and reckless driving and was sentenced to 90 days, suspended on condition that he pay $150 and costs. The state dropped charges of DUI. Blood ilcohol content was .09, according to records. Bennic Earl Holland, Rt. 1, Shannon, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was sentences to 30 days, suspended on condition that he pay $50 and costs. The state dropped charges of DUI and no blookd alcohol content was recorded. Willie Simon Blue, Rt. 3,Raelord, was found guilty of DUI and was sentenced to six months, suspended for two years on condition that he pay S250 and costs and surrender his license for two years. Blood alcohol content was .19. according to records. James Allison Robers, Goldsboro. pleaded guilty to speeding 65 in a 55 mph zone and prayer for judgment was continued for two years if costs were paid. Joe Allen Cline. Sanford. pleaded guilty to speeding 67 in a 55 mph /.one and prayer for judgment was continued for two years it costs were paid. Barbara McMillian, Rt. 4, Raeford. was found not guilty of assault and the prosecuting witness was fined costs. Bonner Lee Rowland. Fayetteville, pleaded guilty to speeding 65 in a 55 mph zone and prayer for judgment was continued for two years if costs were paid. Harold Albert Pagni. Rt. I. Red Springs, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was sentenced to 60 days, suspended on condition that he pay SlOO and costs. The state dropped charges of DUI. Blood alcohol content was .10. according to records. William Leonard Barefoot, Dunn, pleaded guilty to speeding 65 in a 55 mph zone and was fined costs as prayer for judgment was continued for two years. Ferlinda Slate Henderson. Rt. 1, Red Springs, entered a plea of guilty to failure to yield right of way and failure to stop at scene of accident and was sentenced to six months, suspended for two years on condition that she violate no laws for two years and pay S100 and costs. Willie Robert Shaw. Rt. 1. Raeford, pleaded guilty to DUI. transporting alcoholic beverage in passenger area with seal broken, and driving without a license and was sentenced to six months, suspended for two years on condition that he pay S160 and costs. Blood alcohol content was .20, according to records. H.B. Brooks. Rt. 4. Red Springs, pleaded guiltv to driving without a license and was sentenced to 60 days, suspended on condition that he pay $25 and costs. John Atlas Farrell, Jr., Pittsboro, pleaded guilty to speeding 69 in a 55 mph /.one and was fined costs as prayer for judgment was continued for two years. Carlton Locklear, Rt. 4. Red Springs, pleaded guilty to speeding 67 in a 55 mph /.one and was fined S10and costs. Paul Jones. Rt. I, Red Springs, pleaded guilty to DUI and attempted breaking and entering and was sentenced to two years, suspended for three and one half years and placed on probation for Uirce and one half years on condition that he not drive for two years and pay S400 and cost of action. Use Landfill, Officials Urge County health officials again made an appeal for more people to take advantage of the longer Saturday hours at the landfill to dump trash and reduce heavy use of the dumpster sites on weekends. The city-county landfill began staying open all day Saturday last month, an increase from the morning-only hours. 4 4 What we need is more cooperation from people", assistant sanitarian Lawrence Caviness said Monday alter presenting a report to the county commissioners.
