Personals George King, Jr., and his guest, Don Lockerbie of Stony Brook, N.Y.. visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George King here over the holiday. King and Lockerbie have returned to studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. Stan Winberry of NCSU, visited Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gentry and family during the holidays. Mrs. Charlie Daniels and daughter, Stacey, spent last week with her brother and family, Lt. and Mrs. Hugh Stephens in Key West, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ronk, Stacie and BJ., of Kenova, W. Va., visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Seals, over Thanksgiving. Births Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dale Baker announce the birth of a daughter, Dana Ann, on November 20, at Southeastern General. Mrs. Baker is the former Jan Stephens. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hiser Jr., of Greenlawn, N.J., a son, Christopher Jon, on November 29. Birthdays Lynn Conoly Lynn Conoly, daughter of Sgt. and Mrs. William Conoly, and Lori Frederick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Frederick, celebrated their first birthdays with a party given in their honor by their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth A. Frederick, on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Roy Conoly. Refreshments were served and guests received party favors. Among the 35 guests were the following from out of town: Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Hill, Dawn and Roy Conoly of Aberdeen, and Kevin and Brian Roy of Lumberton. Mrs. Conoly and Lynn will join Sgt. Conoly in Hawaii in May. BRIDGE Book Club Mrs. Younger Snead and Mis. Lawrence McNeill were luncheon hostesses for the Book Bridge Club Tuesday at the Ft. Bragg Officers' Open Mess. Cardinals and miniature Christmas wreaths centered with tiny candles, marked places for 12 guests at a table in the main dining room. Aftei lunch guests gathered in the General Sink Room, where three tables were arranged for bridge. Holiday Luncheon For Bridal Couple ' Mr. and Mrs. Lamon Bruner, Jetry Bruner, and Mrs. Annie McNejll entertained with a luncheon Sunday at their home in Antioch, for Miss Debra Calloway and Billy McNeill who are to be married on February 1, 1976. After lundi William Daniels played the piano, while the group sang Cluistmas carols. Guests with the honorees were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Morgan and Jeff of Cary, Mr. and Mrs. Steve McNeill and Melody of Columbia, S.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Calloway. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Calloway and Jason, Mrs. Maude Calloway, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy McDiarmid, Vann McBryde, George McFadyen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill McNeill, Miss Cynthia McNeill, and Linwood Hayes, all of Raeford. The bridal couple received an electric can opener from their hosts. U.D.C. Meets At Koonce Home The November meeting of the Raeford Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy waj held at the home of Mrs. Herml Koonce, with Mrs. George Monroe i - hostess. Mrs. Koonce gave the program, "My Confederate Ancestors". The 4 essay. "My Confederate Ancestors", written by Robert Shook of Shannon for 1975 U.D.C. Jr. High School Essay contest, was read by the chapter historian. Miss Isabel McFadyen was present and expressed a desire for membership in the chapter. After other business was completed the hostesses served fruit cake, nuts and coffee. An auction was held after the social hour. Forty - five dollars from the sale will be sent as a donation to the recently purchased U.D.C. Records Building in Raleigh. The chapter will hold its next meeting December 12 with Mrs. Glenn Wood and Miss Sarah Lytch. wa^ X Coffee Honors Recent Bride Mrs. Jay Woodard and her daughter, Mrs. Wayne Harmon of Marietta, Ga., entertained with a coffee hour Saturday morning to honor Mrs. Richard Neeley of Urbana, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Neeley were married in August in Urcanam and this is her first visit to her husband's hometown. Pink camellias and arrangements of pine and holly were used for decoration in the entrance hall, living rooms and dining room. The hostesses served coffee and tea, nut bread, cheese biscuits, melon 1 balls, cake and nuts. Maxwell Dinner The family of the late Clayton Maxwell gathered Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Maxwell for their annual after Thanksgiving pig - picking. Among those from out of town here for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Walker and family of Sanford; Miss Lynn Britt, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Adams and family and Mrs. Stephen Mclntyre, all of Lumberton; and Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Maxwell and daughter of Ayden.
