District Court Fifth DUI Charge Brings Heavy Fine A heavy fine was levied by District Court Judge Joseph Dupree here Friday on Larry Kenneth Bern, of 706 Edinborough Ave., Raeford for driving under the influence, (fifth offense) driving while his license was revoked, and speeding 65 in a 55 MPH zone. Berry pleaded guilty to the charges. Dupree sentenced Berry to two years, suspended for five years, and placed him on probation for five years on condition he not drive in any state of the U.S. on a public street or highway for five years and not have the odor of alcohol on his breath during that time, and pay a fine of $1,000 and costs for the DUI charges.
