Carlton Niven, Social Reporter. 87S-3785 Keaton - Thompson Pair ' Wed In Home Ceremony Miss Brenda Gale Thompson and David Roger Keaton were married Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Robinson. The Rev. W.H. Ginn officiated at the double ring cere mony. Spiral candelabra and arrange ments of Dutch iris, yellow gladioli, white daisy mums and daffodils flanked the kneeling bench in front of the fireplace, forming an impro vised altar. Mrs. Jack Thompson, aunt of the bride, presented a program of nuptial music. The bride was given in marriage "by her father, Leon Thompson. She is also the daughter of Mrs. Lois Hall of Lexington. The bride groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hassell Keaton of Raeford, was attended by his father as best man. Ushers were Edward Robin son, John Morris and Ron Huff. After the ceremony the bride's parents entertained with a recep tion at the Robinson home. Miss Becky Thompson, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Jo Ann Thompson, aunt of the bride, served cake and Mrs. Kathy Huff, sister of the bridegroom, poured punch. Yellow and white daisy mums centered the refreshment table which was spread with a lace cloth. Mrs. Jane Robinson presided at the guest register. For travel the bride wore a lavender pantsuit with matching accessories and an orchid corsage from her bridal bouquet. Following a wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va., the newlyweds will be at home in Wagram. The bride, a 1975 graduate of Hoke County High School, is employed by the Hoke County Board of Education. The bride groom was graduated from Hoke County High School in 1969 and attended N.C. State University and Fayetteville Technical Institute. He is self-employed with K & M Construction Co. Among the out of town guests were the following relatives: Mrs. , Monnie Thompson of Ellerbe, the bride's grandmother; Mr. and Mrs. Strauder Tilley of Ellerbe, grand parents of the bride; Miss Becky Thompson and Miss Debbie t Thompson, sisters of the bride, and Dennis Thompson, the bride's brother, all of Lexington; also, several aunts and uncles of the bride from Ellerbe and Rocking ham. Mrs. John Goller and son Jeff of Greensboro, were here Monday and Tuesday for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Younger Snead. Hal Fogleman returned to Greensboro with them after a visit with his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dickson. Mrs. H.T. Hine Jr. and son Larry spent last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Bundy. Mrs. David Roger Keaton Personals Mr. and Mrs. Bob Childress and family visited his sister, Mrs. Marian Sarver of Roxboro Sunday. Mrs. Sarver has been hospitalized at Duke Hospital after suffering injuries in a two car collision near Roxboro the weekend before. Sgt. and Mrs. Julius Niven and family of Albemarle spent last week here. They came especially to visit his mother, Mrs. Niven, Sr, who is a patient in the Intensive Care Unit at Womack Army Hospital, Ft. Bragg. Mrs. Neil Senter, Mrs. Milo Postel, Robert and H.L. Gatlin attended the funeral services of Mrs. Lewis Hart in Lexington, Ky. last Friday. Mrs. Hart is the former Helen Patricia Stuart of Raeford, and was a cousin to the Gatlins and Mrs. Senter. Mrs. Paul Adams of Lumberton spent the weekend in the home of her sister, Mrs. Graham Clark. Mrs. Norris Is Honored Mrs. Richard Norris was hon ored by the U.S. Army Communi cations Command on her last duty day, Friday, February 27 with a floating reception. Approximately 200 friends were greeted by Mrs. Norris between the hours of 12:30 and 4:30 o'clock. She was wished many happy retirement years by her friends and co-workers. Dinner Bridge For Mrs. Copper Bridge club members honored Mrs. Sam Copper, a club member, with a dinner-bridge party Tuesday evening of last week at the home of Mrs. Walker. Mrs. Lewis Up church Jr. was club hostess. Mrs. Copper will be moving to Rockingham this month. The club presented her with a gift of shubbery for her new home. Spring flowers were used in the home. Cards marked places for 16 guests. During the evening Mrs. Up church served punch and home made cookies and candy. The club high score prize went to Mrs. William T. Niven and the visitor's prize was won by Mrs. C.L. Thomas. Infant Christened Vera Leanne Wilkerson, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wilkerson, was christened at the Sunday morning worship service at the Raeford Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John C. Ropp. Neill McNeill, elder, attended Mr. and Mrs. Wilkerson during the cere mony. Following church service, Mr. and Mrs. Wilkerson were hosts at a luncheon in the fellowship hall for 30 close friends and relatives. Staff Sgt.
