Tax collector Elizabeth Living ston outlined to the board the In rem method of foreclosing property to collect back taxes, a procedure under G.S. 105.375, which elimi nates the necessity of an attorney's services, she said, and is a greatly simplified procedure to enforce payment of taxes. The SAE students stayed with the families of the members of the SAE of the town they visited. Hoke High SAE members who went to Little ton were Jill Williams, Leo Mc Eachin, Maverick Carpenter, Teresa Orem, and Ann Furr. Those from Northwest High of Littleton coming to Raeford were Mike Faison. Tim Warren, Margaret Hawkins, Linda Zollicoffer, and Tonyea Edmund. A spaghetti sup per was held at SAE president, Hope William's home for the visiting SAE students and some of Hoke High's members. On Friday, a group of SAE members went to Farrell s at the Cross Creek Mall for a party given for the Littleton students, who left on Saturday. The Hoke High Chorale returned from their singing tour this past Sunday night. April 4, and every one said they had a great time and learned a great deal visiting the various historic places in Washing ton and Philadelphia. The Chorale, accompanied by Philip Summa and Mrs. Mary Archie McNeill, the choral director, left early Wednes day morning on the long bus ride to Washington. On Thursday, the Chorale was able to hold the rain back while they sang on the Capitol steps. Later they sang in the center mall at the Pentagon. The next few days were spent touring Washing ton. Pennsylvania, and singing in Philadelphia. Tickets are being sold by Miss Mims, and several of the senior executive board members. Easter vacation's only a week off, and while everyone is cramming a term paper together and dreading report cards coming out again, everyone is looking forward to a week's vacation and a chance to lay off for awhile.
