Sunday after spending several days
with her mother, Mrs. Eli Shankle,
while her father is in the hospital.

moved recently from College Park,

weekend with her parents, Mr. and

greeted by Mr. and Mrs. James
Wood, Mrs. Monroe's sister and
brother-in-law.
Refreshments were served in the
dining room by Miss Peggy Jean
Wood, the honoree's niece. The
table was centered with an arrange
ment of mixed Spring flowers and
pink candles in a silver candela
brum.
Flowers used throughout the
house were from the Monroe's
garden.
The hosts presented an orchid
corsage to Mrs. Monroe and a
rosebud boutonniere to Mr.
Monroe.

seventh birthday last week with ten
friends to help him enjoy the

Kimberly Anne Seaford. daugh

Rackley, celebrated her sixth birth
day. Saturday, May 1st at her home
in Thomasfield. The 20 guests
enjoyed a red, white, and blue
bicentennial doll cake, ice cream
cones, and punch. A bicentennial
theme was used for the decorations.
Games were played and prizes were
given to the winners.
Farewell Luncheon
For Mrs Lambert
Co-workers at the Credit Bureau
of Raeford gave a farewell luncheon
for Mrs. Luther S. Lambert on
Friday at the home of Mrs. Jerry
Jordan.
Mrs. Lambert, who is leaving
soon to make her home in Clarks
ville, Va., was remembered with a
gift of lingerie.

neighbors were invited by Mrs. Bill
McNeill to a baby shower for
Anthony Moon.
After the baby's mother, Mrs.
Gay McPhaul Moon, had opened
his gifts, the hostess served
refreshments. Mrs. Billy McNeill
and Mrs. Lamon Bruner assisted in
serving.

Elon College with a B.A. degree in
biology. She is a teacher at

Hoke County High School, will
graduate this month from Elon
College with a B.S. degree in
