Library News "Thank You' For The Many Gifts Wc appreciate all gifts to the library in memorials, books, build ing fund, etc. Everyone has been exceptionally nice in answering our requests for whatever we have asked. There are so many things we will need in the new library. If you are planning to give a memorial book to the library we may already have what you plan to give. We keep up pretty close with all new and best seller books. We may not have them the first week the list is published but we will have most of them soon. They come automat ically from the SRLS most every week. The Bicentennial plaques are still selling real well. Don't forget to get yours before they are all gone. We were glad to have the rain and hope it didn't spoil the "county clean up" that was planned for last Saturday. Having the huge trash bags here in the library for folks to pick up made us realize what a gigantic job it was going to be. It's sad to think we've let our county go until we have to have a clean up campaign. It is also sad to know some of our motorists who live near and also those who travel to see the beauty of the United States seem to forget it's our country and our responsibility to keep it lovely for everyone here or traveling through to enjoy. Remember, others are following you and love to enjoy lovely scenery. Our towns and countrysides bespeak the care of its people. Again, we want to thank all of you folks who have been saving the "mini-page" for us. It is being used and enjoyed so much and presents a challenge for little ones who work real hard in their studies to have a chance to read one. We are still collecting these if you would like to bring yours down. We would also remind our patrons our pictures are being used often and if you have not borrowed one you might enjoy this service. Pictures may be borrowed six weeks at a time and can be renewed.
