"Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the un believing, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4, NASB) The trail leading around the edge of the lake to the cabin was precarious and overgrown; so my husband carried the lantern and led the way, pushing aside under brush on that dark night. It seemed a logical approach to the problem; but instead of seeing the cleared path, all 1 could see was the bright glare of the lantern. This "logical" plan positioned me so that I stumbled along the path, blinded by what should have been my source of light. Had 1 continued on in blindness, refusing the light when offered me, 1 could have easily slipped and fallen, perhaps even perished. But when I received the lantern and carried it close to my side, I could see the path in front of me clearly enough to walk safely. God's grace is not logical in human terms. It is only when we draw near to Christ that the dark paths of life are illumined. PRAYER: Lord, remove the scales from our eyes that we may see Thy light. Amen. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Salvation has to be experienced to be believed. Pig - N - Chicken ON 401 BY-PASS TELEPHONE 8752131 Th?
