Maj. and Mrs. Ernest Leonard Plummer of Ft. Monroe, Va., were married Saturday, at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The bride is a granddaughter of H.W. Ellis of Route 3, Raeford, and the late Mrs. Ellis. The bride's father and the Rev. S.L. Wood officiated. Escorted by her father, the bride wore an empire gown of white peau de soie and organza and a match ing veil. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis. corn flowers and car nations. Mrs. Nancy Ellis Jones of Flo rence. S.C., was matron of honor and Miss Joyce Marie Ellis of Williamson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Leigh Plummer of Ft. Monroe, Va.. Mrs. William Henry Chase III of Rich Square, and Mrs. W. Wayne Jenkins of Potecasi. They wore misty blue gowns and shawls in shades of blue, coral and white and carried baskets of flowers. Sgt. Maj. Plummer was his son's best man. Ushers were Frederick Wallace Ellis of Williamston, Jerry L. Jones of Florence, S.C., Richard Leonard Gay of Williamston, and Ronald Thompson of Fayetteville. John Randall Ellis of Williamston was acolyte. After the ceremony the bride's parents were hosts for a reception in the church fellowship hall. Following their wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Conway. The bride received a degree in home economics from East Caro lina University and is employed at Conway Elementary School. The bridegroom studied health and physical education at Pembroke State University and is a coach at Conway Elementary School. Attending from Raeford were H.W. Ellis. The bridal couple received gifts of crystal. Christian Women's Club Meeting The Sandhills Christian Wom en's Club will meet July 21 at 11:30 , a.m. at.the Country Club of North Carolina. Some of those attending will bring the special feature, a Salute to America '76. * Guest pianist will be eleven-year old Delane Bovender from Mint Hill. The featured speaker for this month will be Tom Hess, a navigator from Fayetteville. The Christian Women's Club is a national association of interdenom inational women which meets for luncheon once a month in many of the leading cities and areas throughout this country and Canada.
