Judith Lynn, to Dale Leroy Jones, ' son of Mr. Roy W. Jones and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Jones of Raeford. Miss Matthews attended Mercer University in Macon, Ga. where she was a member of Chi Omega. She is presently a senior at Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy Atlanta, Ga. The bride - elect is a member of Kappa Epsilon Professional Fraternity and Presi dent of the Student Pharmaceutical Association. Mr. Jones is a 1973 graduate of Pfeiffer College with an AB. degree in chemistry and a member of Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity. He also is a senior at Southern School of Pharmacy and a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Frater nity. The wedding is planned for August 6 at the Lutheran Church of the Messiah in Atlanta. Bridge Mrs. Lester Mrs. T.B. Lester, Jr. entertained members of her bridge clubs and two visitors, Mrs. C.L. Thomas and Mrs. Paul Burnett, on Tuesday evening of last week. Bridge was at play at three tables. Refreshments were served from the dining room table which was covered with a white lace cloth and centered with an arrangement of red candles, grapes, and minia ture Santa Clauses. Coconut pound cake, fruit cake, cookies, nuts, stuffed dates, and coffee were served. Red and white decorations were used throughout the house. Club high scorers were Mrs. William Lamont and Mrs. Bobby Carter, and visitor's high was awarded to Mrs. Thomas. Bemhardts Host Drop Ins Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Gib Bernhardt hosted a Drop In on Wednesday evening of last week for the members of the Chancel Choir of the Methodist Church and their spouses. After refreshments were served, they enjoyed listening to a tape recording of the previous Sunday's worship service. On Thursday evening the Bem hardts entertained the Manage ment Team of Burlington and their wives. Refreshments were served from the dining table which was covered with a red tablecloth and centered with a large Christmas candle surrounded by holly and greenery. Refreshments included sausage balls, meatballs, a relish tray, assorted pastries, and punch. McNeills Celebrate 25th Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Bill McNeill celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary with a reception held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Billy McNeill on Monday evening, De cember 20. Hosts for, the occasion were, their children, Mr. and Mrs. Billy McNeill and Miss Cynthia McNeill. Approximately seventy i five guests dropped in between the hours of 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Holiday guests of Mr and Mrs. Sam Morris were her mother, Mrs. A. A. Pernell of Louisburg, their daugh ter Sarah of Virginia Beach, and their son John of Hickory. The dining room table was centered with an arrangement of white carnations and sweet peas and held a three-tiered wedding cake, lime punch, cheese biscuits, floral arrangements, poinsettias, and Christmas decorations were used throughout the house. The many beautiful and useful gifts were displayed in the living room. The children presented their parents with a silver tray engraved with their wedding date and the names of the children. The register was attended by Miss Cynthia McNeill. Cake was served by Mrs. Lamon Bruner, and punch was poured by Mrs. Bertha Welster. Gatlin Jr. at her country home on Tuesday, December 21. The entrance hall was decorated with Christmas evergreens, red candles and pyracantha berries. Holiday greens, white doves and white candles were used in the living room, along with a traditional Christmas tree. Ar rangements of pink debutante camellias decorated the sun room. An 18th century style apple and pineapple cone centered the dining room table. White pine and apples decorated the mantel. Miss Kim Jordan served punch, along with Christmas goodies.
