V & Freddie O'Neal Asst. Agri. Agent Effects of a given level of aflatoxins on swine can vary because of the condition and age of pigs' quality and quantity of feed, management and environment con ditions, and total daily intake of aflatoxins. Younger pigs are usually affected at lower levels than older hogs and breeding stock. Besides reduced growth rate of loss of condition, signs are rarely seen until abut 7 to 14 days before death. Samples of feed should be sent to laboratory for testing before use begins. Regional Swine Conference December 8, Clinton (National Guard Army) 4 - 9 p.m. Jayvees Win 13 - 12 In the ballgame last week, the J.V. Bucks defeated Cary 13-12. In the first half, the Bucks started the ball game with an on - side kick, which failed, and the Cary Imps drove down on running plays and scored the first touch down. On the extra point, the Imps had a penalty and had to kick it from five yards back. This attempt was blocked by Keith Rogers and Tracy Galloway. Later in the second quarter, the Imps scored again but they went for the two point conversion, which failed. In the second half, however, the tide changed and the Bucks came out ready to play. James Wash ington returned a punt for seventy - five yards to make a touchdown and John Moses kicked for the extra point. Elvis Percell scored with a run from about the two yard line. Both of these players had good nights. Also having a good of fensive night were James Galbreth and Jack Chapmen. The defensive was really ready in the second half1 and held the Imps scoreless during this time. The Bucks defense was led by Alfonzo Thomas who had a great night at the defensive end. Mac Lewis foiled a last attempt by the Imps in the last of the second half by intercepting a pass on the Imps twenty yard line. Other players who had a good night were Dairell Cobbs, Tracy Galloway, Mark Beasly, Richard Cole, Ron ald Davis, James Galbreth. Keith Rogers and Rustv Huff. The J.V. standing is now 3-4-1.
