The Senior Teen 4-H Club cooked and served the breakfast for 30 people. Plans tor the 1978 District activities were discussed. The 4-H Valentine Dance will be held Feb. 18 from 7:30-11 p.m. Robeson County will host. If you are 13-19 years of age. please make plans to attend. April 22 and 23 is the date set for the District Spring Retreat. It will be held in Moore County at Camp Easter. At the retreat there will be a pig-pickin, workshops, programs, a worship service, and also the District officer election. . * Our state project was also dis cussed which is "Leap Year" (Leisure Education and Awareness Program). We want this project to work within the clubs, counties, district, and state. You will be hearing more about Leap Year. County Council Meeting There was a county council meeting Dec. 6 at the County Office Building. The District Council Breakfast was the topic of discussion. Corn Growers Association, Inc. at a meeting in Raleigh on Jan. 31. 1978. It will be held at the Royal Villa Motel starting at 10 a.m. The organization will be promoting the production and use of corn and will be similar to some of the other commodity associa tions. Farmers are encouraged to Scholarship Available At Citadel A scholarship for an outstanding high school graduate is available as The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. The scholarship was established in memory of Capt. Joe Wofford Eubanks of The Citadel class of 1969 who gave his life in Vietnam in June 1972. The recipient of the $500-a-year scholarship must major in history at the military college. For information and application write to Chairman, Committee on Scholarships, The Citadel, Charleston, S.C. 29409. Completed applications must be received by the Scholarship Committee before March 1.
