In Superior Court Inmate Petitions For Release In last week's Superior Court session, an inmate from Women's f^-ison in Raleigh appeared before ! Judge D. Marsh McLelland to I submit a writ of habeas corpus requesting her conditional release. Shirley Jane Herlth, Women's Prison, Raleigh, told the court that as a committed youthful offender, she was entitled to a conditional release after serving four years. She was sentenced Aug. 13, 1973 at the age of 16, and was given credit for 86 days pre - trial confinement on a Charge of kidnapping.
