Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Earl McDuffie of Raeford, Mrs. Hoke Wilham of Rockwell, Mrs. Harold Brawley of Mooresville, Mrs. Howard Davis of Oakboro, Mrs. Sam McCorkle of Landis, Mrs. Vivian Russo of Charlotte, Mrs. Tony Stack and Mrs. Frank Alley of Kannapolis; three sons, Alfred Murphy of Rockwell, Dr. Duard Murphy of Greensboro and Larry Murphy of Murrells Inlet; a brother. Ott Pennell of Stony Point; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Woodring of Taylorsville. Mrs. Mary Davis Mrs. Mary Davis of Rt. 3, Raeford, died last Thursday.
