Honors Mrs. Jones
Mrs. Marty Jones was honored
Friday evening with a stork shower
at the home of Mrs. Earl Conoly.
Co - hostess was Mrs. Harold
Monroe.
Upon arrival Mrs. Jones was
presented a corsage of baby socks*
in blue and pink.
After guests played several
games, Mrs. Jones opened and
displayed her gifts.
Refreshments of nuts, mints,
cake squares, and punch were
served from the dining table which
was centered with an arrangement
of pink and blue mixed flowers.

Stork Shower
For Mrs. Davis
Mrs. Richard C. Davis was
honored with a baby shower Mon
day evening, August 7, given by
Mrs. John Daniel at the Daniel
home on Magnolia Street.
The honoree was presented with
a pink and blue daisy corsage.
The entertainment for the even
ing consisted of a game of Stork
bingo with "call numbers" being
infant - related phrases such as
"DaDa" and "2:00 a.m. feeding."
Gracing the refreshment table
was an arrangement of lavender
chrysanthemums. The living room
featured the traditioanl stork, a
white floating chrysanthemum, and
an authentic pink and blue silk -
draped bassinet which contained
many beautiful gifts. The mother -
to ? be received a William and
Rogers sterling silver feeding spoon
from the hostess.
The honoree's mother. Mrs.
Elizabeth Sofge from Shelby was a
special guest.
Mrs. A.J. Freeman spent the
weekend with her son, Tommie
Freeman, and family in Red
Springs. She attended services at
the Westside Baptist Church while
there.

er, Pam, vacationed last week at
Lake Waccamaw.
