MeKitrick Canadian Is Kiwanis President Wilton Wood of Raeford re ported this week E.B. "Mac" McKitrick of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, was elected president of Kiwanis International at the 66th annual convention held July 1 in New Orleans. La. Wood is a member of the Raeford Kiwanis Club. McKitrick has been a member of Kiwanis 24 years. By profession he is a chartered accountant. He will take office October 1. succeeding Merald T. McRae Family Reunion Held Grady McRae, Sr., held his third family reunion July 4 at the home of his son, Arlington MeRae. in Houston, Tex. Among others attending were Mrs. Sarah Poore of Brooklyn. N.Y., Grady McRae, Jr., of Queens. N.Y., Willie McRae of Wilmington. Del., Frank McRae of New Castle, Del., William and Alberta Quick and Nathaniel and Carrie Black of Charlotte, Glenda McRae of Raetord. and seven of Grady McRae Sr.'s grandchildren including his oldest, Curtis McRae of Brooklyn. McRae said they had a wonder ful reunion. He returned home July 23 after spending 21 days in Houston. Dallas Named To New LREMC Post Paul Dallas, of Fayetteville, has assumed the responsibilities of a new position of Lumbee River Electric Membership Corporation in Red Springs. Dallas is the new director of in dustrial, commercial and com munity development for the rural electric cooperative which serves some 19,000 member-consumers in Robeson, Scotland, Hoke and Cumberland counties. As the director, Dallas will work to maintain good relationships with real estate developers, home builders, industrialists and com munity groups in promoting the use of LREMC electric service. He will also promote the development of industrial, commercial, residen tial and recreational facilities within the LREMC service area by providing reliable power utiliza tion information.
