Farmer presided.
Ronnie Martinez McLeod,
pleaded guilty to six counts of
uttering forged checks, four to Five
years, as restitution or reparation
as a condition of attaining work
release privilege or parole, the
court recommends that the defen
dant make restitution as follows ?
S45 to A&P, S45 to Macks Stores,
and $15 to McCormick's Grocery,
all of Raetord.
Woodrow Wilson Monroe,
breaking or entering, and larceny,
pleaded guilty, five years, credited
wiili 21 days spent in confinement
awaiting trial; the court recom
mends work release when the
defendant has complied with the
rules and regulations of the Depart
ment of Correction.

Parents' Meet
A film on separation and divorce

Single Parents Association Decem
ber 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Brownson
Memorial Presbyterian Church in
Southern Pines.
Another film will be shown to the
children.
Plans lor a bake sale and a
( hrisi mas party will be discussed at
the meeting. I he bake sale will be
held to raise tunds for the associa
tion. 1 he Christmas party will be
held in the latter part of December.

church November 18. A covered
dish supper was held.

Benjie Allen Stephens, violation
of probation, probation revoked,
former suspended sentence of five
years as a committed youthful
offender modified to imprisonment
for a maxin^im of five years, with
credit for 105 days confinement
pending trial.
Donald Ray Butler, larceny,
found not guilty by a jury.
John Wesley McLean, possession
of a controlled substance with
intent to sell and deliver, pleaded
no contest, two to four years,
suspended for three years, proba
tion for three years, S/50 and costs.
Ronald McPhaul, breaking or
entering of a motor vehicle,
pleaded guilty, two years; as to
restitution or reparation as a
condition of attaining work release
privilege or parole, the court
recommends the defendant make
restitution of $139.20 to Enois
Thomas Lemons. Rt. 1, Lumber
Bridge; larceny, voluntary dis
missal by the prosecutor: defendant
pleaded guilty to a related felony,
breaking or entering of a motor
vehicle.
