Aaran Lakes Baptist Church and
Trinity Methodist will join in
Thanksgiving service at Trinity
Methodist Church Wednesday
evening at 7:30 o'clock. The public
is invited.
Sandy Grove Methodist Church
t held their bazaar the past Saturday
at the church hut. The response
was real good.
Mrs. Fleeta Maxwell won the
afgan that tickets were sold for. She
was real thrilled at having been the
lucky person.

Pittman Grove Baptist Church and
Ephesus Baptist Church will join in
Thanksgiving service at Ephesus
Baptist Church Wednesday evening
' at 7:30 o'clock. The young people
will sing as part of the program.
The public is invited.
Pittman Grove Baptist Church
held their annual Christmas Bazaar
in Raeford the past Saturday. The
response was real good. Everyone
was real happy about the proceeds
from the sales.
Pittman Grove Baptist Church
will have their fifth Sunday ob
. servance November 29. There will
be dinner at the church followed by
Gospel singing at 2:00 p.m.
Earl Chason and children of
Hartsville, South Carolina spent
the past weekend with Mr.
'72 Class Reunion
The Hoke County High School
f Class of 1972 will hold a reunion
Saturday at I p.m. in the Gibson
Building at the high school.
Gospel Singing
The State Line Quartet will sing
Sunday at the Pittman Grove
Baptist Church Gospel Singing.
The program will start at 2 p.m.

Chason's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Chason.
"Chuck" Chason who is a
sophomore at Hartsville High
school was real happy, having just
made the A-B honor roll. He was
real anxious to share the news with
his grandparents. Congratulations
Chuck!!
Charles Chason who had been
sick the" past two weeks was able to
return to work this week.
Dewey Hendrix of Arabia was
admitted to Cape Fear Valley
Hospital in Fayetteville the past
Friday.
Mrs. Mary B. Webb of Arabia
had eye surgery in Moore County
Hospital the past Thursday. She is
recuperating at home and is doing
fine at this report.
The Rockfish Volunteer Fire
Department had a nice turnout for
"open-house" the past Saturday.
There was a "pig picken" fol
lowing, for members of the Rock
fish District.
There will be an open meeting of
the Rockfish Volunteer Fire De
partment Monday evening De
cember 7 at 7:30. to elect officers
for the coming year. Everyone in
the Rockfish Fire District is wel
come and urged to attend.
Lawrence Barnard who has been
ill for the past two weeks is feeling
better at this report.
Dougald McDougald has been
released from the hospital and is
back home again.
Mrs. Marshall Newton continues
to improve as of this report.
It is reported that Mrs. Ethel
Monroes' condition is improving at
this time.

Let us be prayerful for the many
who are sick or grieved. May we be
thankful for our beautiful bless
