Jr. i I Price-Farris Couple Wed In Double Ring Ceremony On Saturday, November 7, at 3:00 in the afternoon, Patricia Stephens Farris and Maurice Henry Price, Jr., spoke their wed* * ding vows in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Jackson with the Rev. Carl D. Strickland officiating the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud W. Stephens of Rt. 2. Racford. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice H. Price. Sr.. of Fayetteville. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown featuring an empire waist and chiffon lace. She I wore a veil of silk illusion trimmed in yellow pompons. The bride's bouquet was of yellow roses and white daisies, trimmed with yellow and white streamers. Wanda S. Williams, cousin of the bride, of Fountain, wore a gown with fall floral design and trimmed with white lace. Scott B. Price of Fayetteville, served as best man for his brother. Tracy Stephens of Raeford, brother t of the bride, was the usher. The bride's mother wore a navy blue suit, trimmed in gold and Mr. and Mrs. Tom McPherson. Jr. of Gaithersburg. Md. announce the birth of their first child, a son, Thomas Richmond McPherson. Ill born November 5. Columbia Hos pital for Women. Washington. D.C. Richmond is the first grand child of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. ( McPherson, Sr. (the former Eliza beth Parker of Raeford) and the first great-grandchild of Mrs. D.K. Parker. Sr. of Rt. 4. Raeford. Mr. and Mrs. Joe L. Morris of Rt. 1. Shannon, announce the birth of a son. Edward Theodore, at Cape Fear Vallev Hospital, on November 21. r '(5^. carried matching accessories. The groom's mother wore a two piece suit of pink and coral and carried matching accessories. After a wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina the couple will be at home in Raeford. The bride is a graduate of Hoke County High School and is em ployed at Faberge', in Raeford. The bridegroom is a graduate of Merrit Island High School in Florida and is also employed at Faberge' in Raeford. RECEPTION Parents of the bridal couple entertained with a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Jackson after the ceremony. Mrs. JoAnn Allen, sister of the bride, kept the bride's book. Hospital Newo CAPE FEAK VALLEY Mrs. William Davis SOCIAL HEWS - 875-2121 Anniversary And Birthday Celebrated There was a party at Open Arms Rest Home Saturday. November 21st honoring Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Nash who were married 55 years November 20th, and Leana Cook, who was 68 vears old November 20th. Hamburgers, trench fries, slaw, and ice cream was furnished by the Rest Home, drinks were donated by the Pepsi Cola Co.. potato chips donated by Frito-Lay. cup cakes, birthday cake, and anniversary cake given and served by friends. Each resident and staff member received a gift, given by a lot of caring people. Everyone had an exceptionally good time, and fun.
