Supervisor of Per sonnel Administration at the Mooresville Plant of Burlington Sportswear, has been named assis tant personnel manager at the Raeford Plant of Burlington Mens wear, replacing John Belton Brown, 111 who was promoted to personnel manager of the Burling ton Menswear Combing Plant in Clarksville. Va. Suggs is a native of Whiteville, attended Louisburg College and graduated from UNC-Wilmington. He joined Burlington in the Per sonnel Department as a manage ment trainee at the Mooresville Plant in 1978. Suggs is single and his hobbies include running and auto racing. A Shirley White Shirley White, personnel man ager at the J.C. Cowan Plant of Burlington Menswear in Forest City, has transferred to the Raeford Plant as an assistant in the Personnel Department. She is a native of Ramseur Randolph Co., and received a bachelor's degree from A&T Uni versity in Greensboro. Mrs. White began her career with Burlington in August 1973 and served atihe Ramseur, Denton and Cowan plants. Her hobbies are sewing and bowling. N.C What's on the horizon for Ex tension? The winter months offer farmers the opportunity to take some time from the daily chores of planting, , plowing, spraying and harvesting crops to study and plan for future crops. The Hoke County Extension staff plans to help all farmers be prepared to make those decisions that will maximize the return to capital, labor and management. This can be done through the use of individual visits and consul tations with farmers and farm families, meetings, seminars and short courses. Listed below are programs that are planned to better equip farmers for the upcoming year. All local programs will be at the county agricultural extension office in Raeford. January 14,6:30 p.m. ?? Farmers Club Meeting. January 22, 10 a.m. -- Working with computers, 3:30-8:30 p.m. - t Executive Farmer Short Course. February 11, 6:30 p.m. ?? Marketing Workshop.
