Moped, Money Order, Wagon Taken
The following were filed at the
Hoke County Sheriff's Depart
ment.
Dennis Davis. Rt. 2. Raeford,
reported a S250 Moped stolen
March 1 from his property.
Wanda Kay Locklear, Rt. 1. Red
Springs. Creech's Mobile Home
Park, reported her fullblooded
black-and-white Dachshund is
missing. She said she last saw the
dog at 9:30 a.m. March 5. The dog
is small and long and has short
hair.
A truck ran into the side of the
Hide-A-Way Club February 28.
The accident did about SI, 000 to
the building and about S500 to the
truck.
During the weekend of March 5,
someone took the kitchen and
bathroom faucets and left the water
running in a vacant house owned by
the Avery Connell Agency near the
Scurlock School area. A repairman
said that when he entered the house
he found four inches of water on
the floor. A back door had been
kicked in.
Lola Mae Jones. 434 Robert
Ave., reported a S97 money order
was taken from her mail box
between March 1 and March 5. A
warrant charging possession of
stolen gix)ds was issued against a
suspect.

day a small wagon valued at S30
was taken from his back yard at
403 Dickson St.
Ruth McLean Shaw reported she
purchased a money order January
25 for SI 5.41 at the A&P and lost it
there the same day. She said
someone found and cashed it.
Raetord Ptl. George Baker,
patrolling on Sunday, found a
window otT its track and a door
unlocked at Hoke County High
School. Nothing has been reported
missing.
Magdline Andrews, 413 W.
Sixth Ave., reported Tuesday her
pistol was taken from her home.
Patrick Fellows. 501 Grand Ave..
Raeford, was charged with larceny
of the pistol, a .22 valued at $50,
and with carrying a concealed
weapon.

A driver of a car failed to stop for
a stop sign and hit Mrs. James
Sakobie on Arsenal Avenue Wed
nesday morning as she was on her
way to work. There were no serious
injuries but Mrs. Sakobies' car was
pretty badly damaged.
