Arm Wrestling Contest On March 29 Who's got the strongest arm in Hoke County? Hoke County Parks and Recreation Commission will be sponsoring an Arm Wrestling Contest to determine who does have the strongest right or left arm! The contest will be held at the Gibson Gym on Monday night, March 29, at 7 p.m. In order to compete you must fill in the registration blank below and return to the Parks and Recreation office prior to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24. The contest will be a double elimination tourney with the following weight divisions: Right handed Left handed 0-135 0-176 136-150 177-up 151-165 166-185 186-200 201-220 221 -up There must be at least four participants per division before a trophy will be awarded. The winner in each division will receive a trophy. There is a SI .00 entry fee per participant. Each partici pant will be weighed prior to the start of the competition. No cheating! Results are as follows: Michael's defeated Young Restless 15-9. 15-11 Potted Plants defeated Hide Aways 15-13, 15-7. Aggressors defeated Potted Plants 1 5-5. 15-0. Debatables defeated Nixon's Misfits 15-0. 15-12. Michael's defeated Debatables 9-15. 18-16. 15-7. The championship match paired the regular-season champs, the Aggressors, and Michael's. Both teams were ready as the competi tion began. The Aggressors took the opening game 15-8. Susan Walters served five straight points to pace the Aggressors.
