For the fourth consecutive year,
Laurinburg will be the site of the
Scotland Heart Run May 15.
The Heart Run is a joint effort
of the American Heart Association
and Connecticut Mutual Life In
surance Company.
L The 10,000-meter run will begin
^and end on the campus of St. An

points will be set up at each mile
mark so that any person wishing to
join the event may run as much or
as little as he or she wants, up to
6.2 miles. A one-mile "fun run" is
designed for beginners.
Each runner is encouraged to
seek out local supporters who will
contribute to the Heart Associa
tion based on the number of miles
completed by each sponsored run- .

designed to involve runners of
various ages and levels. Addi
tionally, a blood-pressure clinic
