At Faberge May Birthday Employees Feted Employees of the Raeford plant of Faberge, Inc., who have May birthdays were guests of the man agement for a birthday lunch Thursday in the plant cafeteria. A vase full of roses was provided by Lou.se McDowell of the plant's Returns Department. They were among the roses she grows in her garden in her spare time. She shares her flowers with her co workers throughout the spring and summer. 6 The candles on the birthday cake were blown out by Betty Smith and Shelby Jacobs, who are among the employees with May birthdays. The others were Hazel Elledge, Emma Hardin, Gary Butler, Jefferson Scarboro, Andrew Dial, Gloria Konkol, Willie Mae Morri son, Shirley Adams, Harvelene Revels, Linda Godwin, Janice Barefoot, Annie Bethune, Ethel Rogers, Carolyn Saunders, Beverly Stubbs, Karen Hinson, Bertha King, Jasper Morrison, Peggie Betty Smith [left] and Shelby Jacobs just blew out the birthday candles. They were shown with the roses Louise McDowell gave from her garden. The valedictory address was given by Todd Buie and the salutatory address was given by Brieitte Knight. Headmaster Eugene McKethan presented the Best-All- Around Senior Award to Todd Buie, and the newly created Joey Pate Award to Joey Pate. This award will be presented in future years only to those students who show a strong determination to succeed in spite of overwhelming difficulties. Prior to the graduation exercises, on Sunday, May 23, at 3 p.m. Baccaulaureate services were held at the school. The address was g'ven by The Rev. David Mc ugan, father of Deborah Mc Gugan, a graduating senior. A reception hosted by the PTA was held in the rotunda of the school immediately following the services.
