Hoke Agricultural Extension News by WlUlc Feathentone, Jr. County Extension Chairman FALL CAMPING IN NORTH CAROLINA Unlike summer camping with hot temperatures, pesty insects, and sudden thundershowers, fall camping offers cool temperatures, few insects, nice weather, beautiful foliage color, and less crowding on highways and campgrounds. North Carolina has so much to offer during this season. This is a season of fall crafts shows, street dances and festivals, county and state fairs, apple festivals, and the Strange Seafood Exhibition and Wooden Boat Show, to name a few. It is a season of excellent fishing, the opening of hunting season, and a time to enjoy hiking and backr packing throughout the state.
