Carthage Jaycees' Tractor Pull The Fourth Annual Carthage Jaycees Tractor Pull will be held at the Moore County Fairgrounds in Carthage, on the nights of Friday, August 27, and Saturday, August 28. MAIN ST. Competition will begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening, and the gates will open at 6 p.m. All tractor classes as well as four-wheel-drive trucks and jeeps will be run. Admission is S5 for adults, S2.50 for children 6-12, and free for children under 6, with plenty of free parking. This promises to be one of the largest pulls in the state with an improved $8,000 in prize money. The proceeds of this event will benefit the Carthage Jaycees, a non-profit corporation, in their operation of many charitable and community projects. The Carthage Jaycees are pleased to invite the public to attend and enjoy the use of the spacious fairgrounds and attend this year's pull.
