Mrs. Carlton Niven, Social Reporter, 875-3785 Miss Tucker, Mr. Frahm Wed In Catholic Ceremony Here Miss Teresa Carol Tucker be came the bride of Reginald Joseph Frahm on Sunday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m., the Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Father Thomas Sanford officiated for the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack A. Tucker of Raeford, and the bridegroom, the son of Mr. and Ms. Leonard G. f Frahm of Raeford. A program of wedding music was presented by Miss Beth Wood, organist, and Miss Amy Hemmens, vocalist, who sang "The Lord's Prayer". Other nuptial selections included "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", Bach and "Largo", Handel. The church was decorated with . two large arrangements of blue W daisies, white snapdragons, blue carnations, white gladiola, white mums and gypsophila in white wedding baskets. One fourteen - branch candelabra and two seven - branch candelabra with greenery and a wedding bow also compli mented the altar area. Palms and ferns completed the setting. Minia ture carnations and blue daisies with white wedding bows reserved ^ pews for the family. At the register ' was a bud vase of blue miniature carnations, white sweetheart roses, white daisied, white status and gypsophila. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown with white organza and racheal lace trim featuring a high neckline, fitted bodice of reembroidered chantilly lace and seed pearls with a shear r yolk and an A-line skirt. The gown featured a chapel length train boardered with lace and a pleated flounce skirt. She wore a full brim picture hat of chantilly lace, seed pearls, with attached silk flowers and French netting. She wore a comb of baby blue verbena in her hair. She carried a cascading bouquet of silk white and blue sweetheart I roses, blue daisies, white lily of the valley surrounded by navy blue verbena and gypsophila with lace streamers tied with love knots and lily of the valley. Miss Sandy Tucker, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a formal white and navy cotton voile gown with a fitted bodice featuring a high neckline with a shear yolk. The navy bell ) skirt was accented with appliques printed on and a navy cumber band. She wore a cluster of navy blue verbena in her hair. She carried a fireside basket of silk white and blue sweetheart roses, blue daisies, white lily of the valley, navy verbena and gypsophila with lace streamers. Honorary bridesmaids were Cindy Frahm, Krisit Posey, Vicki Jones, sisters of the bridegroom, | Gail Frahm, sister - in - law of the bridegroom, Suzanne Ramsey, sister of the bride, Raeford, and Julia Anne Tucker, sister - in - law of the bride, Cheraw, South Caro lina. They carried clusters of white silk roses with blue and white streamers. Best man was Charles Richard Clark, III of Southern Pines, friend ^ of the bridegroom. Ushers were Leslie Frahm of Raleigh, and Randy Frahm of Raeford. Jackie Frahm, brother of the bridegroom of Raleigh served as lector. The altar server was Chad Jones, nephew of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Jaclyn Jones, niece of the bridegroom. She wore a go wn of baby blue eyelet featuring an empire style waist with ruffled sleeves and neckline accented with ^ a cumberband. She carried a miniature fireside basket of silk white and blue sweetheart roses, blue daisies, white lily of the valley, navy blue verbena, and gypsophila with lace streamers. The mother of the bride wore a semi-formal gown of navy chiffon with a ruffled V-neckline and a full circular skirt with a small ruffle on the cuff. She wore ? corsage of ^ carnations. The mother of the bridegroom wore a semi-formal blue floral print chiffon over taffeta. She also wore a corsage of carnations. After a wedding trip to the coast of North Carolina and Charleston, S.C., the couple will be at home in Raeford. The bride is a graduate of Hoke High School and Pembroke State University with a B.A. In English Education. She is employed with Hoke County school system. The bridegroom is a graduate of Hoke High School and also at tended Pembroke State University. He is employed with Croft Metals in Lumber Bridge. RECEPTION Following the wedding a re ception was given -by the bride's parents at their home. The table was covered with a linen em broidered tablecloth and centered with an arrangement of blue minia ture carnations, white sweetheart roses, white daisies, white status, gypsophila. The wedding cake was decorated with white sweetheart roses, blue miniature carnations, gypsophila. The wedding cake was served by Mrs. C.T. McGee and Mrs. James Davis. The punch was served by Mrs. Nancy Payne and Mrs. Heddie Floyd. Mr. and Mrs. William Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Tucker received at the door. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Posey and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Ramsey said goodbyes. BRIDESMAID LUNCHEON A bridesmaid luncheon was given for Terri Tucker, Saturday August 21, at the home of Mrs. W.T. Gibson. Upon arrival the honoree was given a corsage of daisies. The bride's table was covered with an irish linen embroidered tablecloth and centered with a mixed arrangement of daisies and mums. Rose arrangements were used throughout the home. A delicious meal consisted of chicken salad, mushroom tarts, lin^a beans, peachcs, and a coconut custard. The honoree presented gifts to her bridesmaids and gifts of sachet to other guests. POST?REHEARSAL DINNER Following the rehearsal Mr. and Mrs. Leonard G. Frahm enter tained the members of the wedding party and family members with a dinner at the Edenborough Res taurant. The tables were covered with white cloths and centered with an arrangement of blue carnations, white daisies, white status, and gypsophila. The tables were cen tered with garlands of greenery and blue candles. REHEARSAL PARTY Following the rehearsal dinner the bridal couple was entertained with a rehearsal party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Posey. Members of the wedding party, family, and friends attended. Guests enjoyed refreshments of cheese balls, cheese biscuits, a chipped beef log, sausage balls and drinks. COKE PARTY Mis? Terri Tucker was honored on August 20 with a Coke party at the home of Mrs. Samuel Hendrix. Mrs. Reginald Joseph Frahm Also hosting the .occasion was Mrs. Dwight Hasty of Greensboro. Guests were invited to the dining room table for refreshments of cheese wafers, cookies, brownies and Coke. Miss Willcox Honored At Dinner Parly Miss Mary Willcox, bride-elect of September 11, was honored last Saturday evening at a dinner party at the home of Mrs. J.W. Walker. Mrs. T.B. Lester, Mrs. Jack Scarborough, Mrs. J.H. McPhaul and Mrs. Jimmy McPhaul were co-hostesses. Sixteen guests were served a three course meal at seven o'clock. The dining table, covered with an army navy cloth, was centered with an arrangement of roses. Smaller tables were decorated in the same manner. Mixed summer flowers were used throughout the enter taining rooms. The bride-elect was presented a corsage of roses and gifts of pottery, crystal, stainless steel in her chosen pattern, and a hand painted picture by the hostesses. Rosa Cole Celebrates Birthday Mrs. Rosa Cole celebrated her birthday on Sunday when she invited approximately 25 guests to her home at 208 East Sth St. Friends and relatives, including her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Har rell, gathered at noon. Pots of hanging flowers made a beautiful setting on the screen back porck where guests were served a bounti ful meal, consisting of roast, ham, fried chicken, numerous vegetables and a variety of homemade cakes. Mrs. Cole, who cooks at Up church School, has made a reputa tion for herself, as being one of the most fabulous cooks in Raeford. Her birthday is looked forward to each year when she ladens the tables with food and invites people to come and share with her. A shower of gifts was presented to the hostess.
