President, Mrs. Robert Britt, called the meeting to order. Final plans and directions for the spaghetti supper, to be held the next night, were made. Also, three ways and means projects were proposed to the club and accepted. Plans were discussed concerning the membership drive scheduled for October and a salad supper was planned to honor prospective mem bers on October 18th. After this short business meeting, the club adjourned to the kitchen where everyone helped prepare salad, plates, napkins, tables for the spaghetti supper! The spaghetti supper was a successful event, thanks to our wonderful patrons. We would like to extend a public thank you to everyone who came out last Tues day night. Special thanks go to those nice folks at the armory and Mr. Earl McDuffy who loaned us cooking utensils. Also, to Mrs. Lippard who helped direct our preparations and the nice people at WSHB who gave us plenty of good advertising. We hope everyone enjoyed their meal. Roekfish Mews By Polly Barnard Tel. 875-2736 Am sure everyone enjoyed the news last week. I certainly didl Thank you so much Louise, for reporting for me while I was away. I especially enjoyed, as always, your poem. I promised to report first handed about my trip. 1 really enjoyed the whole trip to the World's Fair. There were thirty three people counting the bus driver. We left Fayetteville at 8:00 a.m. Monday by Wilson Bus and arrived back in Fayetteville about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The group was very congenial and the bus driver very thoughtful and helpful. We were fortunate in getting a real nice place to stay in Knoxville a very short distance from the Fair Ground, which made it much more convenient. Our original reserva tions were in Crossville, Tennessee but it being late in the season there were vacancies which were more convenient. I really enjoyed the fair very much and think it was well worth the time and expenses in volved as well as having made many new friends in the tour group. Correction please.
