Freshmen Bucks Hand Rockingham 1st Loss The freshmen football team continued in their winning ways last Thursdays by defeat ing a strong Rockingham team by a score of 14-0. It was the Rockingham team's first loss in four years. The first half looked like the defensive struggle the game was billed to be with neither team able to capitalize on several promising drives. The half ended in a 0-0 tie. The Bucks bounced back in the 3rd quarter to score on their first play from scrimmage on a 30 yard run on a handoff from Buck quarterback Ricky Chavts to running back Marcus Graham. Randy Mclntyre then added the extra point to make the score 7-0. The Bucks scored again in the 4th quarter on a 10 yard run by running back Marcus Graham, on his way to compil ing an impressive 87 yards rushing plus 20 yards passing. Mclntyre then added the extra point to make the final score 14-0. The Buck's offense compiled very impressive statistics in this game. The Bucks rushed for 152 yards, passed for an addi tional 91 for a total offense of 243 yards. The Buck's defense, not to be outdone, held a strong Rockingham team to only 116 yards of total offense, giving up 77 yards rushing and only 39 yards through the air. The Buck's defense was lead by James Locklear, with 8 tackles; David Jacobs, with 6 tackles; Ricky Chavis, with 4 tackles; and Kenneth Lockear, with 3 tackles and a blocked punt.
