Hoke Chorus Concert Planned For May 19 In two weeks, the Hoke High Chorus and Chorale will be per forming "A Night Under the Big Top" before a capacity crowd. Practice is well underway for the big night. Several soloists will be featured. Soloists include: Charles Cash, Melody Williamson, Lynn Branch, Kent Locklear, Michelle Crotty, Bobby Carter, Caroline Ansley, Arnold Miller and Willett Bissett. Accompanists will include Carolyn Wilde, Nadine Wadsworth and Lisa Upchurch. Stacey Miller is choreographer, and Caroline Ansley is publicist. Reservations can be made by calling 875-2156. Hoke School Board Offers Work Program The Hoke County Board of Education announces the availability of applications for the Vocational Work Experience Pro gram. The purpose of the program is to serve youth ages 14-21 who are economically disadvantaged. The target group for this activity is in-school youth, who are cur rently enrolled fulltime in and at tending a secondary, trade, technical vocational school or junior or community college or the next scheduled quarter or semester or any of these schools. The project ultimate design is to enhance the employability of youth through the completion of educational goals and participa tion in work experience.
